Went to Iceland on Sunday and found four packs of Heinz baked beans for just £1. They weren't reduced to clear just a normal sel. Don't know if available elsewhere.

Great deal but nowhere near as good as Branston beans, I find the Heinz beans sauce too thin whereas Branstons is nice and thick!

Looks too good to be true. Heinz rarely reduce it nowadays. Farmfoods have Branston beans, 12 pack for £3.49 at the moment.

This deal is NOT expired. I don't know which jealous person expired it. Just because people can't find the deal in their stores does not make me a liar! Many deals are posted on here which are unbelievable but some people do get lucky. I do have a reciept too, just don't know how to upload.

Think it depends. I have friends who will only eat Heinz beans and Ketchup, Sarsons vinegar, Colman's mustard and Bisto gravy but I think it's more to do with what they were brought up on and how willing to invest in new brands you are.
I am open to trying all sorts of varieties - own brands, branded...ones made by The Wig and Pen in Sheffield (!). For me Branston beans are the tastiest and have the best consistency. I've always preferred thicker baked beans though, so having to cook the Heinz ones for longer always annoys me. I don't dislike any beans though, other than those hard-as-bullets Tesco Value ones you used to be able to buy in the early 2000s!
I think Branston had something of an advantage in entering the market later, in that Heinz *cannot* change its recipe to improve on it for risk of offending their loyal customers. The chance of their original recipe just having to be the absolute best is unlikely - most of our brand loyalty is down to a cosy familiarity rather than the taste being 100% 'better' I reckon.

I can't quite get my head around how odd this person (luvsadealdealdeal) must be in real life... are you really that bothered about a 4 pack of baked beans deal to call someone a liar?
