Saw the deal recently for 3 for £5 and thought that was quite good. But noticed this in B&M today. Had loads in stock.
No painting projects immediately but have picked up a packet at that price.

Maybe it's just me, but there's nothing worse than painting with cheap brushes. Picking bristles off the skirting, walls or whatever else you're painting.

I got a couple of those free from screwfix, Ok for water based but not for oil based, but prefer the Harrris Ones
I did a bit of Decorating for a living when I was in my twenties, only do families homes now, my grandchildren are heavy handed on the paintwork so its a bit like Forth road bridge lol

Thats my experience too - I thought it was just down to me - but we recently had professional decorators in to do a job I didnt fancy due to access and height issues and they have left visible brush strokes all over the place.

These are really good, I usually buy them from Costco, £10 plus vat. I have used them for 7-8 years now, not a Purdy but very good indeed and are far superior to anything else in this price range. There are 4 wee 1/2" ones which are ok for touching in or trying various shades of emulsion colours (I mix my own) the angled 1" is good for window frames or cutting in picture rails and the rest are all very useful. They are supposed to be No Loss but I have had the odd stray bristle, but I am a mean sod and most of what I have, has been used and cleaned more than 20 odd times, so there is bound to be a wee bit wear and tear. Rubber grip handles that have a bit of give in them, really good idea.
VOC regulation compliant oil based paints are now a bit thicker (The sticky stuff as my kids call it) these brushes are a bit thinner and a slightly shorter bristle (I Know they are synthetic) than standard brushes, which makes working with oil based paints a bit easier. I still mix a bit of thinners in though some people might object on ECO grounds.
I have used these brushes with everything from Hammerite to Dulux Trade Gloss/Satinwood/Undercoat and Varnish and am pleased with the finish. I have used Harriss Classic brushes and other "Good" branded brushes, but these are IMHO just as good.

Have you ever used the Screwfix No Nonsense Synthetic Paintbrushes'? Just wondering how they might compare to these. Been doing my own painting and decorating for over 40 years, and find it almost impossible nowadays to get a good finish with any paint. I always used the cheapest of paint and paintbrushes and never saw a brush mark in my finishes. Nowadays with the paint (emulsion, gloss/satin water and oil based paints) and using the better brushes, I find it impossible to get a satisfactory finish. Painting now becoming very much a chore, used to be quite enjoyable!

I suspect this is stock purchased from Costco which was reduced down to £6. Item is discontinued at Costco now and none left in stock.

Indeed. There must have been 10 at this site (Northampton St James) but it's the first time I've found a deal in there.
All the others I never find in stock there

Good price, fair bit cheaper than Amazon. But I find B&M deals a bit hit and miss. Our local store never has any of the HUKD in stock, and as you cant get a stock update when you telephone them it can become a bit of a wild goose chase.

This is standard stock at this price, seen it in all of the Glasgow stores I have been in, cracking brushes.
