Ratchets and moving parts have been covered under warranty for years now. And recently the stores have got it full spares kits so they don't have to order the more obscure parts that only come in sets

They dropped the having to have a receipt requirement a while ago and there's nothing to say that moving parts are no longer covered in the t&cs.

Agreed. Gone off halfords stuff since my Torque wrench died after only 3 years to which they would not replace as I did not have proof of purchase, nor was it on their system (paid for on trade account) as records are deleted after 12 months. This was to palm me off as they would need to keep a paper trail for 7 years by law, manager just kept fobbing me off and I got bored as work had replaced me with a new one anyway.
The ironic thing is they replaced it with a Norbar which is exactly the same bar the orange is red and it says Norbar in the same font where the halfords logo is

I've got both the Lidl set and and a Halfords set I bought about 15 years ago, while the Lidl spanners are good they are not comparable to the Halfords version.
I used the Halfords spanners daily for a few years in a commercial workshop and from then on just at weekends on my own vehicles, the only notable issue is with the 10mm where the flexible head flexes, it flops around where the others in the set are still tight, but this is due to wear from extensive use over the years.
I'd buy another set in a heartbeat, if I needed them, but there's plenty of life left in them yet.

never had a problem Halfords have always replaced even when I broke a ratchet (my own fault) so your statement doesn't hold water PFF :confused: Plus these aint £35 :man:

I was going to go for the 12 seat too but the 9 set has flexi heads which swayed it for me, the 12 set is fixed. Both absolute bargains though

Yep you're right it's £33.75 for the 9 piece set or £36 for the 12 piece @ trade prices i'm tempted to go for the 12 piece @ £36 then TCB bringing it down to £34.75 :smiley:
