'Argo' movie in HD and a code for a Chromecast (NOT the 4k model).
Wuaki's deals don't seem quite as good these days, but this is still a good price for the non-4k Chromecast, even without the movie (which, for what it's worth, I remember enjoying a lot when I saw it in the cinema!)
If you're unfamiliar with Wuaki's Chromecast deals, the way this works is you buy the movie from Wuaki, and they give you a code to redeem against a Chromecast at the official Google store. I believe this includes free UK shipping.
In theory there is limited stock (550 units) and I've seen at least one comment in the past where someone had problems with a similar offer, but generally people don't seem to have any issues getting their Chromecast.

Heated as it's a good price but typical that Wuaki choose now (just after the amazing 3 months Netflix offer ended) to introduce a new Chromecast deal. Would it have killed them to release it a few days sooner and give us a chance of a bit more free Netflix. :disappointed:
Still great if you just want it for the Chromecast but personally I have more than enough streaming devices already so need a bit of a sweetner like the Netflix to bite....

If you've got another payment card, setup another email address and make a new account to get this offer? You obviously don't want the film if you already have it, and the Chromecast you get is in no-way tied to your wuaki account.

Same here. I believe it's a fault in the Google store when an old item is left in the basket. I think anyone who has that problem will need to get on to Google store and ask them to clear the basket. That's what I'll be doing today

Haha....I knew someone would say that, but the point here is that prices of these fluctuate so unless you're desperate for one right now, it will inevitably appear at a lower price again. Same with the 4K version - you'll inevitably see price drops in that in the coming months.

Do these play DTS audio yet?
warlockuk
18 Jan 17#46
That's not exactly true; youtube on your phone just casts the link. The Chromecast downloads a youtube app snippet to play it back. At that point you don't need the phone, it's just sending links not streaming.
The newer Chromecast also caches some of the apps + preloads data on things like netflix where you're likely to be watching the next episode right after.
There is no full app, though, you can't fire a chromecast up and then navigate through content; that's all on the phone/computer first.

The movie Argo is ruined by shameful inaccuracies, such the British and New Zealand roles in helping and unfairly glorifying the CIA's role and minimizing the Canadian government's role (particularly that of Ambassador Taylor) in the extraction operation.
