Found this in Cwmbran today. Looks like a good deal. £98 on Amazon. yes you could get a cheap one for about £15 on eBay that will last 3 months (like mine) or you could get one of these and get a quality piece of kit ( for those who just voted this cold )

Bought mine before Christmas @£50
Would love a 2nd to put in the back window.
the mounts are SO much better than most other offerings at the moment.
None of the big bulky suction cup affairs with loadsa moveable joints.
A simple solid and slimlime pad sticks to the screen and brings the camera right into the rear of my rear view mirror.
From outside the car you'd be hard pushed to spot it, exactly what I wanted
Damn good video capture too

hi i have one and love it, just set it and forget it or take it with you as its really compact and easy to remove. the Usb cable is short but i got an generic usb extension on ebay for 1 pound and works a treat, can also use as a camera, very good quality colour video.just a bit bigger than 2 matchboxes.

Must be why all those pilots and people at sea rely on "discount brand" garmin products, where can you order Acer avionics and marine navigation products out of interest?!

Is this any good to use as a wedding camera?

A discount brand ... ummmm ... not quite ... they are the premier GPS endurance sport brand (cycling edge series for example)

So they are not doing too bad as a discount brand considering they are one of the worlds largest gps manufacturers

I was going to get one of these when they were £50 before Chistmas, but then read the reviews and didn't bother.

Garmin is a discount "brand".
I know people using Acer laptops and they don't complain much. It is a matter of settling for lesser quality and the typical "buy cheap - buy twice" approach. This is fine in most cases, however, if you will not be able to read a number plate of a car which just hit your and run away, what then? (Personal experience with cheap DVR)
Ability to capture high fps and record in poor light conditions is paramount in DVRs, otherwise it defeats the purpose.
Then again, better cheap than nothing, right? It may work in some situations. Good luck!

or, you can get a branded one with gps for £60...
I actually got it for £40, thanks to a deal a couple weeks back.
It's clearly visible in the pic... "Dash Cam 30" on the box and on the price tag.

Seems it's not clear to everyone me included, but thank you for the clarification.

If you know before you look, maybe. Otherwise, in your dreams. You're well named.

Thanks. Phoned nearest stores and it's deleted stock item on clearance. None near me. :disappointed:

Good camera and reviews, lovely and small but be aware the lead included is short (2m iirc). you can't use a generic lead without camera advising "use mass storage" every time you turn on. garmin do sell a 5m long lead but its something like £15. returned mine for refund

By appearance I would suggest it is the Garmin Dash Cam 30 - the 20 and 35 are visibly different to the picture on the box

Can you give the model number please. Struggling to see it on your photo.
