I'm not sure if it is a remake or loosely based on the other "Gold". That was from the 70's starring Sir Roger Moore and in a goldmine. Think this is different though but I won't look into it too much or it might spoil the story. Got the other one as a free DVD in a newspaper about ten years ago. Heat added anyway. Thank you
