Heads up - If your starting to make plans for that special someone this valentines day then Subway are running a National customer appreciation day on 14th February. It's nationwide and staff have been told no holidays that day as they expect to be busy.
You will receive a free 6" sub when you buy a 21oz drink or a 500ml bottle of water between 11am and 7pm.
I think water is about £1.20 a bottle and a 21oz drink £1.50 but prices may vary and all that....

My local were very very strict on 1 per customer - they turned someone away as they said they'd seen them already have one - the person denied it but the worker said that he was willing to go and check cctv! Anyways my local were super organised, really friendly and helpful, had lots of extra staff in and the quality was as good as it always is. Shame to see some not doing as well as the one in Newcastle under Lyme!

I don't think some were as well prepared as they should have been. Obviously I posted this deal as I know someone who works in Subway. He told staff to order/defrost/bake etc at least four times as much as they would for a normal Tuesday and they looked at him like he was crazy!! He went in store to check and had they done it!?? No!! Staff thought they knew better and were worried about "waste" so he ended up having to order all the extra last minute. Good job he did as apparently they have also had queues all day! The stores who are well prepared will be the ones who listened to the regional managers and followed their briefings and instructions. The ones who are running out are the disorganised ones or stores who thought they knew better I imagine. Or possible management got it completely wrong and they are way way busier than predicted!!

The queue was out the door at the Beckenham store - managed to get 4 for my boys & nephews. Had no meatballs or anything chicken left. So got the steak & cheese. After we were served they run out of rolls & only had flat bread left!
Could only buy a large drink for £1.40 - The coke according to my nephews tasted like water.
Only 2 members of staff who were pretty helpful considering they were rushed off their feet. Felt sorry for them as customers were moaning at them about lack of stock. Poorly planned.

OK fair enough but actually it's one customer (not four) if one customer is buying the four drinks..... It will be recorded as one transaction. Customers will not have to pay separately for each drink to get the free subs. Staff might just have to use common sense if it's very busy - they won't always be head counting who they think is with one particular person.
Also I never said staff will be handing the bounce back vouchers outside. My information has been that they will be handed out to customers in store who make a purchase and the vouchers will be by the tills. But I suppose different stores may approach that differently.

Actually after to speaking to one of the field consultants working from the subway office in Altrincham, he has said one per customer, and when you say that a family of four can get four drink and four free subs, that is correct. They're FOUR customers!! It means if one person comes in wanting to buy several drinks they can not get several free subs. Also not all stores will hand out vouchers outside as all staff will most probably be required inside.
daisyb212
31 Jan 17#74
I'm not sure it is limited to one per customer e.g a family of four can buy four drinks and get four free subs, so not sure how the one per customer will be enforceable. They will also be handing out vouchers on the day in store with your purchase I believe, with which you can redeem another free 6inch with a drink purchase within the dates on the voucher.
