Got my 4K telly the other day, hooked up XB1 S, set it all to super fancy hdr mode, and loaded up Doom. Granted its still the same, good old game, but those colours are really popping on this set!! Its like Doom just got a fresh coat of gore!!!

However if you have a decent pc or are willing to put the money in, a pc will always top a console, hands down

i have an Xbox one S and didn't rlly enjoy this game, not a big racer, but as I said, heat for the price :smiley:

my point is dont hate on a guy just because hes happy to play at 30fps, if he wants to think its the same cool he will still enjoy it if the game mechanic are functional and its a playable title. 30fps 60fps 4k 1080p 720p 144z 60hz, its not all about graphics and framerates. No mans sky for example beautiful game but are you going to log as many hours as civilisation? probably not because the game sucks.

like i said though im not saying its all the same its not there are improvements, people just need to enjoy games for the fundamentals of what it is, story, gameplay, multiplayer, whatever it is and not get so strung up on the minor details.

that being said horizon 3 is amazing and everyone in this post should buy it.

If you do go to get the game from Amazon you can get the Xbox one/PC deluxe edition for £30 which isnt as good as the Ultimate edition deal yet its better than standard edition which is the same price.

Don't forget the 'family' game sharing for forza horizon

In fact, if you chose 48 FPS there is very little to chose. The point of the site seems to be trying to prove that for film, 48 FPS is better than 30 FPS.
Isn't Destiny 30 FPS? One of the finest smoothest games available on console. I love it.
Depends on the net result, the game type, the screen. I suspect many factors play a part.

Well...gaming IS all about graphics and framerates, like, that is the DEFINITION of a game, some graphics working at a framerate xD

While FPS isn't the be all and end all, I own an Xbox (30 FPS), and play alot of PC (was 60, now 144FPS) and the difference is staggering, the PC games are often a good £10-15 ish cheaper and there is a much wider selection too

Slightly off topic, but to say FPS doesn't matter is rlly not true, to compare 2017 graphics to Pacman or Atari back in the 90s is rlly not fair either, get with the times

Thank god nobody complained about Sega Rally on the Saturn all them years ago.
To the purists, it may not play at 60fps, but I doubt if you would notice unless you were using some kind of monitoring equipment. Probably because the magazines say so, otherwise you would never know. Put it this way, it handles great and the sheer beauty of the graphics is all that counts. Plus it looks fantastic in 4k HDR mode.
Also there is nothing better on any console.

If you think you will enjoy the game then buy it, if you don't then keep your money till you se a game you are interested in. For me the game play is more important than if 30FPS or 60FPS.

My point is if the guys happy with 30fps why tell him to get educated? if to him 30fps and 60fps are no different then cool let him enjoy the game.

My point is who really gives that much of a ****. If you can play it and its fun why the big issue if its only 30fps? don't be so rude. Let people enjoy things, to me running a game at 100fps on console is just as good as 30fps. Only really matters if you are on PC and/or running a 144hz display. but even then are you really not going to get a game because its capped?

I think there is too much obsession over frame rates especially in the PC community and there are a significant number out there who won't buy games that are less than 60fps. A higher frame rate does make a difference in some games and adds to the enjoyment imo. However I had forgotten FH3 was 30fps and it certainly doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the game upin anyway. Also the expansion for this Blizzard Mountain which is extra of course is one of the best expansion dlc' I have seen for any game in a long time.

Great game, plenty to do and Blizzard Mountain is worth getting as well as adds more cars and bits to do.

I don't think anyone said not being 60FPS made this a waste of money. The debate was over whether 60FPS is actually noticeable over 30. I have the demo for this game and Forza Motorsport 6 and I can see the extra frames in FM6
