Poundland are now selling a range of foil balloons for, wait for it, a pound! They will then fill it with helium for a further pound. I can't get a £2 helium filled balloon anywhere else

Are these the ones that kill cows when they eat the deflated ones that got away? And leave non-biodegradable cords that snare ducks and other birds and wildlife?? …. Excellent! … Heat added :smirk:

And this. which is more serious as it's used in hospital MRI scanners.
Buy them now at this price before they go up

My local Poundland has done them for at least a couple of years. Card factory sell the printed ones (like £land) for £2.49, I think the plain coloured ones are £1.49. Thanks matrich1610 for the heads up on Asda.

You can get plain ones filled at card factory for £1.49. Poundland should fill them for free like everywhere else

Some places only fill them for free if you buy balloon from them otherwise you have to pay to get them filled in.

I don't think any shop would supply free helium unless you made a direct purchase from them.
Helium is expensive

Helium is too valuable for the future of mankind to waste like this.

Don't fall for that rubbish. Helium used for balloon gas in this country is the helium recovered from MRI scanner use. Its not 100% pure so not suitable for most technical uses. Its a different grade to technical helium.

£2! These seem to be going up all the time. Probably due to inflation or something.
