Just been to Lakeside Thurrock branch and the lamb roasting joint is not included there, had 2 meal deals not happy and left it all at the till.

Don't blame you! Did you have the mini roasts too? I would contact via their facebook page - always worth complaining/registering your disappointment - especially if you made a special journey to get the deals - worth a try?!

Was this in the fridge with the other offers and had the 'main' sticker on? When I got to the till, all my goods showed they were in the offer but the discount wasn't applied so the guy on the till called a manager and they did a price adjustment,

Not a lot of point with M&S. They're notorious for always thinking they know best and burying customer complaints. As one tiny such example they steadfastly refuse, despite complaints, to provide free plastic bags for their double wrapped chickens which frequently leak blood. They're allowed to by law but they won't change their policy.

One main, one side and one dessert with a free bottle of wine..... portions in each are meant to serve two but some think they are meagre. I personally think they are good value and generally save about £9.00 depending on choices. I really like the chicken - just go to the store and see what's available and it should come to £10. Sometimes Sparks offers stack too which can make the deal even better value.

It also runs the risk of putting people off though, if I fitted a trip to M&S into my day and it was for stuff I didn't really like and this happened a few times I'd be less inclined to go, it may get people talking but if this is their plan it may be short lived, usually someone copies the offer into a thread here and everyone talks about the options available which on the whole is a lot more positive for them.

They do it on purpose - as they've sort of confirmed - and their marketing obviously works as there's people all over the internet wondering what's included and this creates more discussion and awareness for people who might not even have seen the adverts. Questioning the marketing team just proves the campaign's success before it's even fully began and the marketing department will be getting a pat on the back not into trouble!!
When you see adverts on TV for Big Brother for example you don't tweet Channel 5 and complain that you keep seeing adverts but it's starting soon and you still don't know who's in it!?! It's all about creating awareness...nothing about content.
