Smyths' deal of £19.99 is better but if you can't get that then Amazon's limited time deal is pretty good too and cheaper than the rest.

I had this ready for posting and was hoping they are going to beat Smyths but then they decided not to do that and I decided to let it go. :stuck_out_tongue:

I managed to buy 3 copies of the Special Edition. Flogged 2 and am sitting on the last one.
Is this game really as good as people say it is? Kind of thinking that I'd rather pick up one of the "cheap" cartridge editions as I don't have the time or the inclination to wade through the "trilogy" of games.

yep not many places beating smyths recently for 3ds game deals. Not an Amazon fan but good if you missed out because of the smyths hardline instore only policy.

I don't blame you for doing that. Just f**k Nintendo for making the special edition pre-orders sell out in less than a day, and then not reprinting them. Such a bitch move to all the fans. Reprinting it meant they could have made Nintendo more money and fans would be happy, but no they just suck at everything related to stock issues.

Seems like Nintendo has stock problems on either end of the spectrum. From the "too few" where stock for Fire Emblem and NES Mini sells out in next to no time, to "too much" where the Wii U ends up sitting in warehouses for much of its lifecycle.
Let's see where the Switch ends up nestling...

100% claimed but the Waitlist is still available.

Nintendo are playing a long game which basically teaches you to preorder or go without. They would rather sell a few hundred thousand less on a few choice big or sought after titles and get their fanbase to learn to preorder. Very clever. Also drives up insane PR.

Spasho... Any decent niche / Jap games on Amazon today?

Just a bunch of accessories and stuff. No games.

Cheers dude...
Also, are you taking advantage of the PSN sale? I would have gotten Trails of Cold Steel yesterday, but the game is still a tad too expensive for my tastes (on PS3 anyway - which is the best version to get). Ended up getting it via the PSN sale for only £10.99...

If PS3 digital games were like the 360 ones, i.e., we can make backups and take them physically to other 360s (or store on PCs) then I would but as it stands -- PS3 doesn't offer that and renders somewhat useless for future use.
I'm not a big fan of digital format but that doesn't mean I'm anti either. Just last month I bought a digital mini-album from Coeur de Pirate at Bandcamp whom offer their music catalogue in various music formats (FLAC, MP3, etc). Love music in lossless FLAC, it's CD-quality.

I've contacted ShopTo about when they'd have Luigi's Mansion 2 back in stock and they say that they're expecting new stock within 7-14 days. That is awesome!
I'm definitely interested in owning a copy for only £19.85. Maybe Xenoblade 3D will be available too.
I'll let you know before posting it.

Cheers dude... Alas, I already have both Luigi and Xeno on 3DS.

Interesting... I didn't know that the DRM situation regarding the PS3.
I only really buy digital if there is a large disparity in terms of how much more expensive the physical version is. Although with music, I tend to buy CDs if I can. If only because they aren't that much more expensive than the digital copy and are generally below £10.
As you may have sussed out... I generally don't buy games over £20. But Trails of Cold Steel has never really dropped below £30, which is why the digital price of £10.99 seemed so appealing.
Hopefully there will be a Trails of Cold Steel 1 + 2 remaster for the PS4...

Cool. Currently I only buy sealed (UKV) 3DS copies as I just don't like getting used ones due to the cover being white and could have some yellow-ness to it.
Don't know if it's luck or what but I got a misprint Mario 3D Land from Argos.

I try to only buy brand new sealed games from now on... With regards to the 3DS (and the PS Vita to an extent), I tend not to invest in the platform as much as I just don't play handhelds that often. Which is why I won't be buying a Switch, and also because Nintendo lost me as a future customer after the manner in which they handled the Wii U in terms of third party support.
To be honest, I barely have enough time to get through my PS4 games... And it's not as if Sony are a slouch when it comes to their own in-house titles, and that's without even taking into account third party releases.

Been trying to find a retailer with a UKV sealed copy of Metal Gear 3DS and it seems no one has it anymore. CeX sells it for £12 but that's used.

Ah, that definitely is an increasingly hard title to come by...
