so I bought one of these, and the picture is excellent, however the picture on the internal iplayer is rubbish (aliasing, artifacts, motion blur). It's like the processor doesn't have the power to keep up with HD iPlayer. I can switch to iPlayer via a Chromecast and it is picture perfect. The internal one seems to have problems. Anyone else find this?

I have only used it the last couple of nights for the testing of audio for someone else in the other thread, watching a couple of episodes of QI and Mock the Week. I didn't notice anything like that but it was really only background viewing for me, though it doesn't surprise me. In terms of navigation of the iPlayer app, I rank the speed to be about that of the Now TV v1 box, maybe slightly faster but not much and that was only a 720p media streamer. The v2 Now TV box is definitely faster to navigate than this TV.

it's still available just gone up in price to £299. Luckily I got mine in time before price went up and was delivered yesterday.. I'd still say a good price at 299 personally, I'm really happy with it. I'm no TV expert but picture looks good to me and getting on Netflix a doddle.

mine just arrived yesterday. Test YouTube 4k and Netflix 4k and was very impressed ! It's on par with my 1.5 year old LG 4k. The set feels a little cheap and plastic and the sound it not good but at 229 it's an absolute seal ! smart system is very responsive also.

bit of an update for people, tested last night playing street fighter v in 4k 60hz worked fine latency did not seem an issue, also this tv has bluetooth hidden away in the audio settings which also worked fine when i tested it last night streaming to headphones.

Can you install apps on these for the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video?

Looking for a bigger better tv as I have a 40" Sony 3D tv that has a very good picture (1080p). Want 50" screen - watch mostly HD stuff off Sky and blu rays. Would a tv like this be a good upgrade?

4k you tube looked very nice. do not know what you mean for other things - no footy on TV anyway at mo.
Avatar is on terrestrial HD this looks good.
Don't do reviews - as you can tell.

Thanks for the info, I meant when the camera pans across the green pitch does the pitch look different shades. That's what dirty screen effect is.

Mine arrived 2 hours ago. My order was prompted by the other HUK deal (the one fulfilled by Amazon).
Even so, the tv in this deal is exactly the same, albeit it a few quid more here and from supplier (not Amazon)
TV is great, picture for normal and HD at least seems good. I've not tried anything at a higher resolution yet.
Build quality is good, especially when you consider the unit is so cheap cost-wise (well I think so). I was half expecting something with loose bits and bobs and rattles, but no, initial opinion is that it solid build. Remote is decent enough.
Unit looks nice enough for a front room.
For the price - a no brainer imho. If you need a new 49" tv of course!
Only time will tell how reliable it is, but then that is the same for any purchase. Glad I got mine fulfilled by Amazon, as at the time I didn't know much about the TV. But now I have seen one "in the flesh", so to speak, I would have no problem buying this direct for a few more quid.

Can you do a bit of a mini review please when you try a 4k YouTube video.
Also you should try watching the football on bbc1hd to check for backlight inconsistencies and dirty screen effect when the camera pans across the pitch.( Hopefully there won't be)

Correct. When I posted the title displayed amazon as the seller with no postage cost, it's been amended since to add the postage and 'Sold by Finlux'
That was expired because it sold out of Fulfilled by Amazon by finlux. this is £4.99 more because you are buying from Finlux direct on the Marketplace.
Title should read £234.98
I ordered 2 yesterday the first was delivered to my Mother this morning by DPD
