I have bought 2 of these, one last a year and one a month ago. These are great but what happens is when you keep putting your feet on the top it, eventually the buttons come off and then the corners of the lid eventually rip making the lid effectively useless. The base is very sturdy and the faux leather has never ripped just the lids are made very poorly and with a lot of use within a year you will need a new one or basically a new lid.

Edit: The one I bought was the same make as this but had buttons, this one hasn't.
