I got a phone call from their so called delivery team, this morning . It was just a disguise to sell me the after sales warranty @ £6.99 a month. I had to have painful talk about why I needed a washing machine, So I just told them it was to peel potatoes for Mc Cains. He then wouldn't sell it to me

Orginally I was going to buy a Bosch from John Lewis. Then saw this deal advertised on TV and changed my mind. Glad I did now.

Not really. It's not the belt that makes the noise, it's cheap universal motors on bottom of the range machines. The fact that they're no longer punting "direct drive" shows it's "meh" really.

is this better than the lg (tesco) posted yesterday?

I own this washing machine. She is perfect. She is quiet, fast, cleans well and saves me money. Best of all, she sings when she finishes and I love her.
Didn't buy her from AO.com though, the nasty shower of crooks. Avoid them.

Nasty shower of crooks? I very ordered loads from ao and found them excellent.Dont confuse them with currys cowboys.
It is the quietest machine I have ever owned and I speak from the experience of 2 Indesits, a Zanussi and a Candy machine, my LG direct drive is quiet and its really appreciated after the jet engine type of noise the Indesits and especially the Zanussi made!

We have this or a very similar one with the touch panel.. my only gripes are it doesn't have a pause wash function and also the on off touch part is very sensitive ours is under the breakfast bar so when people stand near it we tend to hear the tune it plays.

I guess the cashback will be rejected using any promo codes, so the price should be £309 with the voucher code

I've got an older LG direct drive machine, nearly 7 years old now and has never let me down or broken down once (jinxed it now)

20 Jan 17#35
So have I and the bearings have just gone. Why have a 10 year warranty on the direct drive motor when the rest of the machine cant last that long. Pointless
These are good machines but they wont last as long as the early bendix machines of the late 70s early 80s. My mother got rid of her 20 year old machine in the early 2000s, not cos it broke down but because it was all rusted at the bottow lol.

How is this useful? "Don't buy this, take a time machine back to the 70s and buy a machine made then".

Going to be an awful lot of pi$$ed-off people when they find they don't get the discount they expected. I thought you weren't supposed to give a headline price on deals which included cashback - has this changed?

5 year warranty is essential. LG are not without problems. Ours has had these issues:
1. Selection dial intermittently freezes.
2. Door seal went black with mould after a while.
3. Mobile phone diagnosis simply does not work.
I would get a basic Miele next time.

Very important in relation to 5 year warranty - information which I have confirmed directly with LG. You must register your warranty within 28 days from the DATE OF PURCHASE to qualify for the 5 year warranty promotion. Unfortunately, the 28 days is not counted from date of delivery. I myself would have fallen foul of this had I not checked and have had to bring forward my delivery date to redeem the 5 year warranty promotion.
Hope this information is helpful.

Mine came today, massive improvement on the 12 year old Bosch it replaced. Quieter, quicker and a lot more efficient.
The touch screen is very sensitive. If you're putting it in a small kitchen or utility room and will brush against it alot I can imagine it getting on your nerves.

Yeah I seen the 24.99 too !! I bought a freezer from them last year and did not choose the removal but the took the old freezer away - might be selling it to the scrap merchant ?
I bought this machine yesterday and should get delivery today but my old machine is still plumbed in so doubt they will take our old machine away.

sarahriley33 to sam_m
25 Jan 17#59
I can't say I've seen that review. I can say some of the washs are quite long but if you select the turbo wash it only takes 59mins or less depending on the weight of your washing . There is also a quick wash that only takes 14mins too.
