The picture confuses me - I thought a fully integrated dishwasher meant you put it within your kitchen unit then match the door to suit your other units, but the picture looks like it has a proper finished door on it like a non-integrated one. Can anyone else help out with this? I've never bought a dishwasher before but am currently in the market for a fully integrated slimline one to fit within an allocated slot in my units.

its definitely not got a panel on it like the photo, Co-op need to take another picture showing the true grey front without the fake door on it.
I've spent all day cutting down a spare door I had to use, only to find my other doors are far less white than they used to be, and we don't even smoke. it now looks a bit obvious, hey ho.
Also it has a clever little remote screw that pushes down a central plastic screw onto the floor to help level things, which has broken away so now I can't lower the middle (retract the support) which would be ok, but it now can't be removed as the floor tile is in the way!!! when I come to change the floor I'll try and fix that.

fully integrated needs a suitable kitchen door attached. usually you don't have a carcass behind so you may need to remove cupboard carcass and get new door but should work but will be an effort.
fully integrated means all door no display shown, display is on top inside edge of door, semi integrated has a small screen / buttons outside and needs a smaller kitchen door to finish. free standing is just slide in and leave.

I realise I probably sound properly thick but would love some info, never had a dishwasher before nor have I had experience with integrated appliances...
With a 'fully integrated' dishwasher, could I simply adapt my current kitchen, such as taking a cupboard out or is it a more specialised set up?

I never had a dishwasher, integrated or otherwise, until a few years ago. When re-doing our kitchen I just left a space between two cabinets for the integrated dishwasher (with kitchen counter-top going across both units with dishwasher in between. Integrated dishwashers should come with a template so you can attached a suitable/matching kitchen door to the dishwasher.
Obviously you'll need to figure out how to get water connected to it, but it's much the same as a washing machine. I already had a hose connection going out to an outside tap under the sink so just bought a Y-splitter to allow water to feed to both as required. Hope that helps :smiley:

Had an Electrolux dishwasher now for 4 years, and had no problems whatsoever, had a bosch one before that which was a nightmare (bosch make siemens washers and dishwashers) so my story sort of contradicts the previous poster, so do your research and remember the dearest isnt always the best....

Cold. I had an ikea dishwasher, made by electrolux, fail within the first year. Over three call outs the electrolux engineers simply mopped up the flooded water and told me that I should rinse all the dishes before I put them in, and that I shouldn't use finish tablets. They refused to take the machine away and actually investigate the fault. They told me they considered it was fixed by clearing the immediate problem, as this reset the sensors that stopped it from working - until it broke again for the same reason. It was clear that the company contracted by Electrolux to perform the repair had no interest in fixing it, as they can claim back costs for each visit.
Ikea eventually saw sense after I wrote to the md and collected the dishwasher from me and refunded me + a courtesy payment for the agro. I now have a Siemens machine which runs a treat - the whole build quality is a cut above what the Elecrolux had. Won't touch AEG, electrolux, ikea or zanussi appliances again.
