My contract had come to an end so I phoned EE and told them I was leaving and going to 3. They offered me this retention deal without any haggling.

Sorry mate, did you get any EU minutes or EU data included in your plan? My contract ends in 5 weeks :sunglasses:
Daftasabrush to DominikB
13 Jan 17 #2
Yes, they can used in Europe as well. The guy at EE made a point of telling me that, as he said some of their other plans do not include this. I wasn't bothered personally as I rarely go abroad.
You also get free BT SPORTS with this plan, not sure if you get it on all contracts but thought I mention it anyway.

Looks like the 4GEE plan with £5.00 off, so unlimited/texts calls in Europe to Europe with *i think* 500MB roaming data - "Our fastest 4G
20 GB data
Unlimited text messages
Unlimited minutes
12 months plan
Included EU calls, texts & data
BT Sport app access"

Does not actually tell customers on the priceplan or order page ?

You need the 4GEE MAX plans with 25+ GB of data to get 15GB of EU data included, starting at £40.99 - should be able to knock disconnections down on that though with or without a handset on a new 24 monther.

bigdarlodave to Nadz_EE

Yes it will unless they add a loyalty discount to bring the cost down so make sure to ask prior to accepting as these discount usually automatically drop off after the agreement period

No, it will revert back to their normal tariff rate what is on at the time. But I'll do the same again and tell them I'm leaving and hopefully get a similar deal.

My contract ends in early March and I rang them yesterday and they price matched the Virgin deal without hesitation.
I asked for PAC and said I was willing to pay the couple of months cancellation fee.
I have since rang them up and got my PAC to see if the "refuse to lose team" come up with something in the middle because the 20gb data is way more than I use. I need something around 8gb mark.
Ideally under a tenner if possible.

I got this deal yesterday but I quoted the virgin deal and asked for my PAC code!

The deal I got included unlimited mins/texts and 20b of data, 15gb data roaming. Running on 4gee max which is their fastest offering. Bt sports was also included in the monthly cost of £15 over a 12 month contract.

WOW. the fact you can use 15GB of your data roaming in Europe just so appeal to me. Its a shame Vodaphone cant even match this or close to that of Virgin. Too bad this deal is only available for only EE customers.

Vodaphone called me to give me 22GB data (only 4GB roaming ) for £22.30 per month 12 months contract. just didnt see it good enough

I'm currently on this deal, they offered me it just before Christmas. it's on the 4G plus traffic which is far superior to other 4G speeds. I'm pretty happy with it as I was paying £35 for only 5GB data.

Great deal.. but not for me as EE network is pants at my home and place of work, no signal indoor.
Does anyone know if 4G speeds are capped? Capped @?
Like for virgin, 4G speeds are capped at 25, which is not much higher than 3G
I get 3G speeds of 20 on Vodafone.

Do you think its possible to get this deal if I'm only 2 months into a 12 month sim only contract with EE?

I'm getting 15gb of data, unlimited minutes & text on 4GEE max tariff for £19.99. I'm also the lead on a shared tariff with the wife and daughter sharing the text, minutes and data. So I'm not sure if I'm in a great position to negotiate to get an improved deal.

I was given this deal a few weeks back, I asked if I would lose the discounts after 12 month, I was told technically the deal is only meant to be for 12month, but he checked the discounts and there was no expiry date on them, so he said the only way the discounts would be removed after 12 month is if someone manually removed them from my account, so he said basically it will be ongoing unless I make any changes.

They don't want the cancellation going in their log.
Should have said it want my PAC anyway and you're willing to pay one month cancellation.
You will only get charged the cancellation if you use the PAC but hopefully someone from EE will ring you back before then.
If not , let the thirty days run out and ask for another PAC at the right time and no fee will be charged.

Agreed. This only applies to a very particular set of people. Of what practical use is this information for anyone who;
1. Isn't already on EE and is nearing the end of/is out of contract
2. Doesn't want to be tied to EE for another 12 months

Mods are you listening? This man/woman is talking sense. Make a retention 'deals' section and let this information that doesn't apply to 75% of the category get posted there rather than making us trawl through reams and reams of useless information to get to the good stuff. God knows it's loooong overdue.

I just called them as in last 30 days of my old T-Mobile contract and their retentions department offered me diddly squat!

12GB of Data and Unlimited Calls and Texts for £20, with no EU calls/data included or 20GB of Data with Unlimtied Calls and Texts for £25 and included 500MB of EU Data.

I made it clear I was looking to move to Virgin's 20GB deal for £15 or Three's 30GB deal for £18 and was told the above deals was the best they could do! As far as I can see these are EE's standard SIM Only deals, so very disappointed and to demonstrate they mean business they have just text me my PAC Code.

Always paid on time by DD and also have an iPad with them and a second phone, so really disappointed. Loyalty don't count anymore and appreciate I'm not entitled to a discount, but held my hopes out they would offer a similar deal!

try again and say that you're thinking of leaving EE because they aren't offering you a good deal. when you call up choose the option 'if you're thinking about leaving ee' and then they'll put you through to someone. At that point they will offer some deals but reject them. then say you found a deal on hot uk deals for a 4GEE plan unlimited texts and minutes and 20gb of shared data. they put me on hold and then said yes they can match the offer. very polite man he was. but remember to be adamant about what you want. you are the customer after all. hope this helps!

Just called 150 from my mobile.

It's worth a shot, my contract was running out on the 30th and the deal started straight away.

Good luck!

What I am saying is that this deal applies to sim only 12month contracts ONLY. Which means that answer to your previous question is no, it will nor work on a pay as you go.

contract ends in april, can upgrade a phone with EE today but they said i got to wait 45 for the above offer as its a sim only, he will put a note on my account to call back in 45 days and they will do the 20gb for £15 a month.

great deal

Was offered same except 500mb europe but not the 20gb Max deal nor accept request to include 08xx.
Said I think it over but forgot to ask for PAC although contract ends Apr.
Hmm... Suggestions?

This has helped me just now. I told them Virgin were offering me this deal and he just offered it in an instant. I felt I should have pushed it for a bit more but was taken off guard at how quickly he offered it. Thanks

I've got 5 lines on our EE account - all well out of contract. Called up and asked for a better deal....best they could offer was 10GB for an "amazing" £23 a month or 30GB for £30 a month. Mentioned this deal and was told no chance there was such a deal or it was time limited and expired on 1st February. Asked for all PAC's and was given them without any resistance....has anybody got this deal since it moved into February?

Just spoke to EE and they offered me the 20gb data unlimited mins and texts. However, this did not include 15gb EU roaming and BT sport. Was just wondering if the OP post or if anybody else managed to get the EU and BT deal with the 20gb

This is a great deal! My contract was ending in March. I thought I'll give it a shot and see what they are going to offer me.. They've asked me what offers I've seen around.. I said I saw the virgin mobile £15 for 20gb and straight away they said we will match it..

Then I was like lets go ahead

Yes.

Thanks OP, just out of contract got this today from retentions dept, didn't even need to request PAC.

Mentioned Virgin deal, charming young lady didn't ask me too many questions.

Cheers, I am chuffed. Better contract than I could find last year which was reliant on moneyback too so no faffing

Just got this after they failed to upgrade me a month ago or so. They offered 500mb in EU now as the 15GB offer expired they said. I pushed for it and said I previously agreed to the offer with 15GB EU included, the retention guy spoke with his manager and got the 15GB EU data as well.

Deal has expired but I've just phoned and got a new contract with EE for £12.99 which gives me 13GB Data, 500MB Europe Roaming, unlimited texts and calls.

Hi guys,

I have tried that yesterday. The first time I called no luck at all. The sales person told me that the best he could do was something different (£19.99 p/m, unlimited mins and texts, 20GB 4g but not able to use that in the EU and BT sports just for 3 months). I hung up and I called directly after. I then spoke with another person. I told her that I have seen this thread on HUKD and I more or less demand the same deal, otherwise I would request the PAC code and leave. Even I did not get that I got a similar offer, quite good I suppose:

£15.99 p/m
Unlimited mins and texts for the UK and the EU -while roaming
15GB 4G data (max plan) and the ability to use up to 12GB in Europe
BT sports for free for 12 months
