more of a gameplay question for those that have it - what is the balance in terms of gameplay between daytime and nighttime?
Is it a fairly even split between playing in day time vs night time? Does it progress naturally (play from day to night the longer you play) or is it fixed to happen after certain missions?
The screenshot used in the first post makes it look a bit like Just Cause or Far Cry, where I thought of this more as a dark parkour running from zombies type game. I'll have to check some videos later when I get home.

You don't actually have to play at night although you get more XP if you do. You can just sleep through till daylight. I personally was too scared to go out at night until I had levelled up to the point where I was almost over powered!

The game is sort of in real time, if sped up a tad so you get day then night and so on. Some of the missions are at night as you have to do missions that involve the night creatures and you have to do a couple of them without the weapons to kill the night zombies so its more stealthy.
Definately dont go out at night outside of a mission until you have the top end weapons as you will die. If you really need to then stay high and very quiet.

Best Zombie open world game around, absolutely loved it the first and second play throughs.
This is a ridiculous price for what you get - a must buy on both platforms in my opinion.

Definitely. I only played it solo and it is great fun, better than a solo Dead Island (their previous game) experience.

Great game and brilliant for coop especially the following expansion. Only issue is the dire lobby and extremely unreliable connections when playing coop with mates. Some days it kicks one of you out every few minutes. We have had to give up some evenings because we couldn't all get into the game.

Stick with it until you unlock a few moves and obtain better weapons. Then it's awesome. Great zombie game. Mirrors edge meets far cry meets zombies.
