Not my normal "go to" port supplier but Iceland have this at half price. A very nice port at a very nice price. Don't drink it in one go or else it will "get in your bones" - very nasty!

Saw an amazing port offer at our local Aldi on Friday. Maynard's late bottled vintage port. 75cl. Reduced from £8.99 to £8.95. Yes, they'd taken a whole 4p off! :stuck_out_tongue:

I remember seeing a massive sticker on something there once and when you looked closer it was 1p off!

Good find if right, I suspect it's the 10yr Tawny as that's normally £20'ish, the 20yr is normally £30/35+ and I really don't see Iceland selling a £30 bottle of port? But if it is I'll buy a few

Your verbosity fails to hide your smugness...I'm just glad you're right, always been too tight to pay for the 20yr :-) I will have a large glass with my humble....

Excuse my noobness over Port as its not something I have ever contemplated drinking, always associated Port with oldies :stuck_out_tongue:
Will this 20 yr be wasted on me!

I find it goes particularly well with cornflakes whilst sitting in the park shouting at random people.
Honestly though, I really like port with cheese after dinner (that sounds a bit pretentious I know). I very rarely get the excuse or opportunity at any other time than Christmas which is a shame. Be careful with drinking too much though as I know many with woeful tales of the hangovers they have when they have over indulged no matter how good it is.

Only time you're allowed to have cheese and port is at Christmas? Gee-whiz, your parents must be awfully strict!

I realise it might be heresy/common to some but I do like a port and lemonade...

Don't mix this with lemonade. It would be such a waste of a nice port.

Sitting here shaking with a horrendous hangover (Top 5 hangovers of all time) thinking "Ohhh that is a nice port at a nice price"......what is wrong with me? Heat added btw.

It's not showing online, can anyone confirm if this is a national deal or a wild goose chase?

I found this with a price ticket of £19.99 reduced from something like £26.00, but when I asked them to price check it, it went through the till at £9.99.
What on earth Iceland were thinking stocking this kind of premium product is beyond me, unless they got it at a very good price! Not surprised they haven't sold it. Even the large Tesco only stocks a 10 year old Tawny. Some places are retailing this at close to £40 !
They also had a single malt whisky at a reduced price of close to £35 No idea what that would have scanned at, didn't ask because I hate whisky !
I have now been to 3 different Iceland stores.. NO PORT..
As I thought this is a wild goose chase and not a National deal.
Thank you OP for wasting my time!
