spotted this deal today in my local Lidl. all varieties plus the shower gels were buy one get one free.

Thanks for the clarification, you are correct. I went back and found them in a separate cardboard display unit, away from the toiletries section. Cheers, OP!

Thanks for the heads-up on this offer. My local store had the Dove products (antiperspirant and shower gel) away from the usual toiletries section in what looked like a clearance area for discontinued/seasonal products. The shelf edge label indicated that they were £1.99 each and I couldn't see any 'Buy One Get One Free' references. However, at just under £2 a can/bottle I purchased two antiperspirants and the receipt showed the product description and in bold 'Limited Offer MB'. Sure enough, they were on Buy One Get One Free.

Finally those boffins have made a shower gel that I can also use as a deodorant.... Isn't it a bit messy though?
