But of course. It's not like eggs naturally come with a hard concave surface that can be turned into scoops to separate yolk and white. Definitely need a tool!

i use my hand. scoop up egg yolk let whites run through back into the bowl. wash hands before and after use though.

Am I missing something? What's difficult about separating the yolk from the white by just passing the yolk from one half of the egg shell to the other? This allows you to keep the white or yolk or both. Isn't it better to learn better kitchen skills?
