Just returned from the Watford (INTU) store and they have plenty of stock - it's all 40% off all ticket prices include those already reduced.

I have a mate in retail who said it's common for people to come in, play with the item, get loads of advice and then order it online cheaper from somewhere else. can't blame them but hacks him off when they do it whilst still in his store!

It's the high rent that's finishing off the high Streets and malls. They can't compete with online only. Shame, but it's the old adage: Use it or lose it.

Aren't they just like an overpriced Robert Dyas?

Or a wannabee Ikea without the street cred (or stunningly attractive staff, lol)
They've been nowhere near as successful as hoped and have lost money on many stores, they're scaling back in a bid to keep the UK business going at all and try to rebuild later

They shut the one in Leeds last year and prices dropped and dropped til everything was gone!

I'm always a found their prices to be very high for what the product was. Bad value IMHO.

Agreed but with 40% off people were filling their baskets - got a few bargains myself, def worth a snoop

Agreed, not cheap, but at least they have the useful stuff on the shelves. No long delay ordering it in (from china usually).
so courses for horses imho.

Anyone know why it's closing? They're very popular here!
