You're a fun guy aren't you? The OP posted what he thinks is a decent deal, which is clearly helping some people, he doesn't need to justify every aspect of it. If they say the RRP is £250, that's what you'd write it as. If you can tell us where it is CURRENTLY on sale for cheaper, then do so, otherwise it doesn't matter. Some people are so pedantic, it's unreal.

Not sure it's worth the original price but £99.99 is definitely a bargain.

I've got an eco drive. Decent watches at this sort of price. Mine has a tiny chip in the glass so I am tempted. Heat from me.

Not my personal style, but my citizen eco drive has been brilliant. I rotate between a tissot and that, sometimes it spends weeks in a draw and never looses time.

Good price, but the rrp is laughable, the manufacturers always use the inflated price to enable the vision of a bargain. Heat added by the way!

In the past Argos have sold this watch for £79.99 and its been a deal on here..... Argos currently have one with a slightly different face, coloured black & orange, also £79.99.

had mine from Argos for £79 last year, fantastic watch and looks great
I bought the same watch and I paid only £65, as H Samuel had a special offer during December and I have managed to combine two offers.

I dont think these lower end eco drives are worth more than £80..... mineral glass and the bracelets are cheap, tinny, rattly hollow jobs which is even worse on this model as its incorporated into the case, so cant be changed for an aftermarket strap or bracelet easily.

funny how prices evolved : few years back you could get in argos sale a seiko solar, titanium watch and bracelet too.

As this model is not radio controlled - I'm guessing you manually have to correct the date once a month. Can anyone confirm?

This model is not as good as it looks; mineral glass , which scratches easily and build quality is cheap. Eco-Drive is poor too, will need capacitor change just after 5 years . All this reflect in price. I would buy Seiko Kinetic or Solar instead.

So says the bargain finder expert with just SIX DEALS IN ALMOST 5 YEARS ON THE SITE. Wind yer neck in a little when trying to throw shade at someone's deal and maybe use your forensic bargain hunting powers displayed in this thread to actually post deals of your own, perhaps? Just a suggestion...
Ahahaha, oh the irony. 'Obviously boring Sunday morning', says the guy who just wasted his time researching the RRP, current and previous sales prices of a watch he doesn't even intend to buy, just to be pedantic on a deal site... I think my minute of writing a reply was much better spent, but thanks for your concern. Haha, what a simpleton.

Seems an ok deal but beware:
I have 2 of the more expensive radio controlled versions, both well looked after, both have been back for repair. 1 after 2 years and an average amount of use and the other within a year with very little use. So I'm not sure how reliable this version will be.
I bought for almost double this price. So for under £100 its a bargain.

I agree this is a low end model and regularly around this price, so I don't see this as a particular deal to vote on (either way). However, it should have a lithium battery, not a capacitor and Citizen claim it's been tested to the equivalent of 20 years use. My Kinetic (now nearly 20 years old) does have a capacitor and needs replacing - not sure if they still use capacitors.
My Citizen is radio-controlled and has sapphire glass but before buying it I did try some models like this (in fact think one was this exact model) in they likes of Argos and H. Samuel, at around this price and you can feel the difference in the weight and quality straight away.

LOL So what do they use? Rechargeable batteries? All Eco-Drive watches uses capacitors and all Quartz watches uses batteries.

But have you any evidence it was previously on sale at Hinds for £250?
I can see Argos may have originally sold this at £199.99, but it was reduced to £99.00 (plus a £5 voucher) 8 months ago

£150 next cheapest current offering you suggest?
Well I've not searched too hard, but have already found it on sale for £125 here:

ETA: It does indeed seem to have been sold at £79.99 by Argos some time before, and shortly after their £99.00 offering
