Canon EOS 70D Camera - Black (20.2MP, 18-135mm IS STM Lens) for £699 in store at Stanley, Clearance Bargain Center.
I have never seen this camera with this lens so cheap. Absolutely incredible price.
I called and they have quite a few in stock as of writing this. I will be popping through and buying one for myself.
Good luck!

Ok, normally "in store only" is added to the title.

Yes but if they spell it like that it's probably fake.......................;-)

I've one of these as my main camera (not the lens) and it's a great camera. I bought a grey import over a year ago for under £500 (body only) so I'm not voting on this price, just adding my comments regarding the camera.
Good body. Bought mine second hand for a bit over £500 from Ebay (body only) 9 or 10 months ago. Not bad at this price/with this lens, but IMO much better value if bought second hand. Under £500 for a hardly used 70D is possible now.

I understand where you're coming from, but the lens alone is worth £300

Definitely a deal for what it is at this price, however if your budget is limited and you're not too bothered about some of the prosumer features (e.g. superior autofocus, more on-body controls etc) I can also recommend the significantly cheaper Nikon D3300 with a 24MP resolution - DXOMARK gave a higher rating to this lowly Nikon's sensor compared to the sensors in both the Canon 70D and 100D:
The CNET review for the D3300 states 'Nikon D3300 is rated 30% higher in image quality compared to the Canon 70D'' and that the images are sharper due to the absence of a low-pass filter. https://www.cnet.com/products/nikon-d3300/user-reviews/
I bought a D3300 from the 'For Sale' section of this website, used, and was astounded by the quality of images I get from it. The sensor is just incredible, even in very low light.
However, if you're a prosumer who needs some of the extra features this Canon offers, just go for it.

I hope you don't mind me jumping in on this post but can anyone recommend a cheapish camera for close up work please?

Allmost all cameras have macro option so you can take close up photos.
For this camera with a good lens you have more control.
The super zoom compact Fuji I used to own gave more options for macro. Lighting is also something you need to think about. I can write upto this much from here more experienced guys will take over.

Thank you. I'll have a look at Fuji cameras I think.

Just got back from a few weeks in North West India. Took my 70d plus assorted lenses and it has been absolutely dependable in every
aspect. Have some amazing photos of wildlife, scenery, people and also did a fair bit of video.
Solid hardware and heat for this deal.

Is this item sealed brand new? Normally they sell refurbished items.

Stanley is in County Durham. It’s not far from where Stan Laurel went to school, so ironically he probably knew where it is.

I'd buy it. But this site has been killing my wallet off these past few weeks!

For those still interested, they still have a load of these available. I've just picked one up and there was about 10 on the shelf (they are behind the cashiers desks).
They are also selling the body with out the lens for £499.

That's a great price. I much prefer to buy "body only" so I can pick my own lenses, and I tend to stick with primes. I suppose bundles might be ok for someone just starting out though.
