I reckon price drops are more a reflection of quantity (sales to date) rather than quality. Look at Titanfall 2: terrible sales initially, but Game of the Year contender regularly selling for £20.

If you have a PS3, in my opinion, Call of Duty World At War is the best alongside Call of Duty Modern Warefare (which is available on both PS3 and PS4)

If you have a PS3, Modern Warfare 2 is more friendly to 'noobs' and the campaign mode minimap is far more friendly than the stupid bar compass thing on top in Modern Warfare 1 campaign (both campaigns are awesome though, modern warfare 2's ending with one of the top 5 gaming moments of gen 7 (for those who want to know what my number 1 is, Uncharted 3 plane level. And number 2 is... yep you guessed it, both the prologue and chapters of the train in Uncharted 2)). If you have a PS4, Battlefield 1.

Wait till Modern Warfare remastered comes out separately (hopefully) and buy this if you can find it £25 or under. It really is the best there is and the best to start off with. Failing that Black Ops 3 is also great. Do not buy infinite warfare its a very poor game. Its not even worth £18 to be honest.

All I seem to be doing lately is heating infinite warfare price drops! Where will they stop? £14.99 gotta be in near future!
Only cod I haven't bought in 6 years, I'm so so happy lol

not really. black Ops 3 took ages to get under 20, even now it's priced higher than iw

Asked this before, but nothing confirmed. If I borrowed the legacy disc (xbone) downloaded modern warfare, returned legacy disc. Then bought the base game, would modern warfare still be playable?. Cheap if you can!

They'd rather sell 15 million @£20 than 5 million @£40 - if only all the other publishers followed!

the suppliers want the stock gone. publishers don't care, as far as the developers are concerned the shops bought a **** load of stock now it's time to get rid somehow.

If only other games sold like COD. I used to pick up the latest COD at launch, complete the single player, play a bit online before the fanboys get too good with constant playing, and sell on within the month getting my money back.
Was it COD 4 that was 26 quid from Sainsbury at launch...!?
Not yet played this one, I'll hold off for 15 quid

Black ops 3 is far superior to IW, however it isn't the worst COD for me (Ghosts, Advanced Warfare).
Well worth 18 quid for a years gaming (if you play shooters a lot), and Battlefield 1/TF2 didn't quite take your fancy for whatever reason.

I can understand it (slightly) in TF2 but not Modern Warfare. Spoils it a little for me!

I hope they expand on the Tactical Team Deathmatch to other game modes which feels much more like Cod remastered. PS. latest patch added huge amounts of additional weapons, paint effects/ decals (and now animated), upgrades, armour skins, emblems etc.
This is something that I feel lets Titanfall 2 down as theres not much in terms of interesting weapon paints and its the same selection for each weapon , titan, pilot and they are charging £3.99 for each extra Titan skin aswell as charging for metalic paints.
I know its not intrinsic to the game but its quite fun spending those 30 coins and get some unique weapon or 3D skin.

Thanks Anthony and Hass. I do have a PS3 as only got PS4 around Black Friday but as my PS4 is still relatively new I think I'll wait for MW remastered to come as a standalone or get Battlefield 1 for now, doesn't seem right to go back to my PS3 after forking out for the upgrade.

I wish they'd go back to do one or two with a WW2 setting. They had real atmosphere when you played them. Like playing in your own version of Band of Brothers.
These future ones with exo-skeletons etc are just becoming sci-fi nonsense.

Purchased the legacy edition, having been a fan of the series. IW Is simply dull. Multiplayer lacking with no depth nor any engagement in gameplay. Maps are uninspiring and all pretty much the same. Bored in hours.
Maybe controversial but MWR didn't really strike a chord with me either. Seems full of campers sitting at the back of the map fully ghillie suited up and sniping at anybody who dares to try to move across the map. Overhyped in my opinion and probably only really popular for misplaced nostalgia reasons.
Sold my preorder copy within the week.
