I waited and waited expecting to receive my phones and finally decided to call Viking who said that there was a mistake in the pricing so they cancelled my order (without informing me!). Is this even legal?

My credit card was charged on the 23rd Jan, to date no refund. Seems like i have to call them to ask if i can have my money back, otherwise they will just keep it.
What a disgraceful company, will be going onto a few review sites to let it be known how this company operates.

Use PayPal dispute. At least leave them a black spot for poor customer service.

I got the refund back to my debit card about 2 days after contacting them using webchat. It appears you have to chase them to get your money back. I agree - unacceptable and a complete mishandling of their pricing error.

Anyone had their promised card refund yet? It's been over 3 weeks now and is completely unacceptable :disappointed:

same for me no refund just kicked off as well but i don't think they even care! fluffing idiots never again will i order anything from this 'joke of a company'

I paid by card, no contact and no sign of a refund after more than 2 weeks.
I've just fired up the webchat and the representative apologised and said he was chasing up with the card payments team and I should expect a refund to be issued today. I won't hold my breath.
I think a Trustpilot review will be left for their amateur handling of this.

Money taken 23rd, no phone call until I contacted them, promised refund two weeks ago and nothing, raised with Paypal a week ago and still waiting over 2 weeks since money out. Annoyed becomes very angry!

In my PayPal account the transaction still shows under 'Pending' with the line 'Your funding source will be charged when Viking Direct completes your order' so I assume no money has left my account let.

just been on live chat to ask for an order update, i knew what they were going to say of course :disappointed: only finished the chat 10 minutes ago but the money has already been refunded to my paypal account!

​Use the weq4u app and you won't be charged for the call. That's how I contacted them regarding my order.

I'm having a hell of a problem getting my money back u definitely won't get the phones! Will instigate a claim with paypal. Lesson learnt do not use Viking direct shambles of a company. The customer operator at Viking tried to get me to call an 0844 number to resolve the issue which I declined as it's a premium rate number!

I received an invoice in the post this morning stating 'This is A Back Order Shipment'. My account it still says 'Order Confirmed' :neutral_face: Does that mean I still might receive the phones?

Just seen that my PayPal payment has been refunded after I opened up a dispute for non delivery.
I received an email invoice and a letter as well from them but thankfully got my money back.
Glad I payed with PayPal.

Give paypal a call on this free number 0800 358 7911 mine was sorted out in a couple of hours and refunded.

Me too and Paypal claim left untouched for two days now!

I'm still waiting for my refund 11 days after original order!

spoke to them and chat today and guess what it was cancelled shock!

Within 2 hours of speaking to Paypal viking have now refunded me to close paypal case

You have new Invoices/credit notes awaiting retrieval. meaning when you click on the link you would have accepted the credit note.

Same, been on chat and been told have to wait 7 days for refund now.

Terrible company, I'll never be ordering from them again.

What the heck is going on with them. Just got a email for a PDF invoice download. It shows they have charged me etc.. But I got a call to say it was cancelled a few days ago.

Mine still pending, no phone call or email yet. I know I won't receive the phone now. I understand errors are made on prices and normally if handled correctly I would give a company a second chance based on customer service. I am at the end of the day able to choose who i shop with, if a company deals with me as Viking has no way would I shop with them again even if a good price appeared, as I know if I had a complaint I have a pretty good idea what service to expect. At the very least they could have advised us with that new technology everyone is raving about called email, not sure if it will catch on yet. Anyway rant over added to my avoid list

If it was possible for the customer service to get any worse it just has. after complaining and demanding a refund by return to Paypal on Friday I have just received an email from their credit dept to what she thinks is an internal colleague trying to arrange the refund, except, she sent it to me the customer!

Apparently the refund will be processed in 5 working days. Hmmm good way to prop up their cash flow I suppose. They're quick enough to take the money but not so quick to refund it.

Mine still shows as order confirmed, but I had a webchat with them and they confirmed it's cancelled on their side. Customer service are "supposed" to be ringing people, but looks like they are not.

No phone call yet, no refund (money taken from Paypal) and the other part of the order was broken, replacement sent and then I received something that was not in my order that was meant to go to someone else. Not great service!!

Nope, contract formed at dispatch or delivery generally. Check their terms&conditions it will be there somewhere.

Garbeled phone call too as was in a bad reception area ....was re cancellation I presume .

If money was taken out of PayPal , have I a legal right to still receive the item at price paid ???

I have just had a phone call from them, said they should of been £50 odd and it was a pricing error on the website. Was very nice, said it could be reordered at the price or would have to cancel. Oh well, some you win, some you lose :smiley:

Ordered BT Diverse 7450 along with BT Telephone BT6600 Twin Black. They emailed me on 23/01/2017 to say that they have cancelled the order (I think BT Diverse 7450), need to call them if I want to order at the correct price of £43.49 but the website is still saying 'Order Confirmed'.

As for BT Telephone BT6600, they have charged my credit card £7.79, website still saying 'Order with carrier'....Not sure what is going on, but hoping will get BT6600 or will contact to get refund end of next week or something.

Oops no, scrap that. It has come out of my bank but is showing at £7.99 not £11.27 (same as what paypal states). Werid.

Havent had a phone call, no email either but have just checked paypal. Its showing as cleared but its now not showing up in my bank at all, even on pending.

Still waiting on mine meeting cancelled, paid with PayPal and it is pending due to come out tomorrow, won't be impressed if money comes out of my account and have to wait to get it back.

ordered a couple of other items I needed at same time to get over £30 (free delivery) and they arrived today (although one was broken!) so orders not being stopped because of it

Seems like it is back to normal price on the viking website. Also order shows reorder price as the current price on the site too. Hope the order was sent direct to the BT distribution centre hence making it really had to cancel the orders without a lot of manual intervention :-)

Thanks for waiting, the item you ordered is shipped factory direct and takes 5-7 working days so will not be delivered today. The item which is showing as with the carrier is your new customer package, and this will be delivered today

It mentioned the order came directly from supplier so maybe the order has been passed on and getting ready for dispatch. The supplier once he has the order from Viking doesn't care how much the were sold by Viking surely.

No, it would be 1 base station and 2 remote units (extra handset and main base station would be a spare).

didn't realise the actual price of these phones at first, far to hasty and very poor reviews on trust pilot, looks like a cancellation email will follow anyway, i just can't resist a bargain!
