A John Hughes vehicle which mixes sci-fi, teen fantasies and comedy. A couple of nerdy schoolboys hook a Barbie doll to their computer and scan in magazine pictures of 'perfect' parts of the female anatomy as part of their experiment. The result is the woman of their dreams - Lisa (Kelly LeBrock), a curvaceous and house proud beauty - whose mission it is to help them get the girls. They soon find themselves the most popular boys at school after Lisa manages to loosen them up a bit.

Anybody collecting UltraViolet may want to know that Universal are the only studio that I know of who are expiring their titles. This one runs out in May I believe [NBCUCodes]

Now I want The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension Blu Ray! I LOVE that film.....
Only the really old ones which came with an itunes copy still redeem via myuv.com. 'Contraband' for example has now expired but if you have the 1st version that came with the itunes copy, it will still work.

I take it you mean the codes expire, not the movie in your collection?

You should be able to still redeem your codes after the expiration date, my copy of ET The Extra Terrestrial was expired and it redeemed fine (so did Snow White and the Huntsman, which was about two years out of date), but use UV's site and not a studio site.

I used to watch this film daily as a kid. Wore out my VHS copy, I watched it that much. How can anyone hate a film that has a woman made from computer code who grants your every desire and turns a bullying brother into a talking pile of poo?

Really? That was one of the standout scenes for me. He cracked me up with the story about the girl and the way he acted all ghetto in front of the old black fellas. I watched it again over Christmas too and while I agree it has aged, I still love it.

This is one of those movies that was ace as a kid in the 80s, but is terrible now. Hasn't aged well at all (a bit like a certain movie star)...

Correct; the film stays in your UV collection it's just the opportunity to redeem that runs out (Warner / Lionsgate / Sony ones appear to still work regardless of expiry dates)
