true but i felt there was too much climbing and for too long as well as not enough puzzles. i tried to do stealth at first but found it was so bad and there was no reward for getting through undetected (don't care about achievements) so ended up just wading in and gunning down.

In all of the Uncharted games all you do is climb and shoot with the occasional shooting in a vehicle. The stealth in 4 is bad, but it's still better than in the other games and it IS possible to go through sections without enemies seeing you, there is even an achievement on going through a level undetected

massive fan of the series but felt 4 was a big let down :smiley: the story, acting and graphics were amazing but it was utterly tedious to play in my opinion. climb this (for **** ages) drop down and take out some guards (stealth is pointless and badly executed so just shoot them all), climb something else (for **** ages), maybe a **** puzzle if we can be bothered then climb something else again FOR **** AGES.

Coming from DS3 i was excited for this game. But if you die a lot you don't respawn with 'health pots' like you do in DS3 so you have to spend time farming them if you want to continue. Bit annoying really.

I didn't hate it, maybe I'm just really frustrated as I REALLY wanted to like it. There aren't any PS exclusives I really like and I wanted this to change that. I'm hoping with the upcoming string of exclusives coming to PS that things will change, certainly looks very promising...

I played it, having never played a Souls game. Loved it, more engaging and absorbing than most games I've ever played.

Well you should try giving the game another chance. Sure it's hard as hell but you get a satisfaction from seeing your improvements.
I guess the term horses for courses applies to every thing in life and even though this game featured in so many top 10 game of the year lists, it's bound to have people who hate it. On the other hand there are terribly crap games that are sometimes even posted on this website and you can see a few people liking them (or thy are just crazy and want to encourage others to waste money)

this is a good point. if you haven't played a souls game and are thinking of trying bloodborne i'd advise watching some gameplay videos online first. it's certainly an acquired taste and can be frustrating but ultimately i've massively enjoyed it.

I cant comment on witcher 3 'cos i haven't played it, I bought it on the strength of so many recommendations. I didn't say how long I played it either. I spent a whole weekend trying to get into it, because I desperately wanted to like it as i hardly ever pay the amount I did for a game anymore. I'm just saying that it isn't everyone's jam. I should have researched more thoroughly...

Nah sat their on the shelf not doing much. Much. I found it boring, it made no effort to involve me or entice me to play it, maybe I needed to have played DS. But i haven't.
