Wow, this is such a good price. I've been using Bitdefender for 2 years now and I'm extremely happy with it. Now my sister got one for 5 PCs just before Christmas and she shared with me. The price was good, but not as good as this. Good find, OP.

I spoke to them through Live Chat and was told I'd have two options: Cancel or Extend subscription. Instead of 'extend' I had 'replace', which would have started a new subscription for a year. Not even sure why there'd be a 'cancel' option if replace does the same thing to the old subscription. I asked if the new subscription could be added on top of what I already have and was told they'd have to speak to a different department about it. I'm due to receive an email with instructions but it hasn't been sent yet.

Seems a bit strange they don't have the option of just extending a subscription. It's good to know that the subscription code can be activated at anytime though. It won't be too much of a bother to activate it when the old one runs out.

I currently have a subscription and still have over 100 days left. I've got the activation code for the new subscription and tried to update it, however it only gives me two options: Cancel current subscription or replace subscription for the new one which lasts a year. Is there a way of adding on the new subscription so I keep the current amount of days that remain on the antivirus subscription? Or do I have to wait till it's almost up then use the code?

I ended up buying this and found that it uses around 180mb in total when running. I disabled its firewall and use Windows Firewall Control instead, I prefer that as I am used to its interface etc.

the bottom one in particular was of interest to me as I had used Windows defender and then McAfee (got it free with Plusnet) and McAfee, which was worse than Windows Defender, would often complain of files etc of being suspicious when n fact they weren't.

...land it does seem that Bitdefender is considered to be one of the more capable AV solutions available. Although I do not rely on any one solution.

So far I'm happy enough with Bitdefender and time will tell if I continue to feel that way.

I think this, like Kaspersky does SSL/TLS interception by default. Absolutely abysmal behaviour.

The free version of this was using around 400mbs of RAM on my Win10 system... just a warning for you. Try the free version and check process RAM before you buy. I'm now using Panda.

I ordered this and made sure that I unticked the auto renewal. I already had a trial of their AV installed and so it was simple to upgrade that to the full suite. All was well.

BUT.....

I then logged in to my Avangate account to find that this purchase was still selected to auto renew next year, I needed to change that option there as well.

You can get Kaspersky 2017 for £12.99 (5 users) if you prefer that.

Bitdefender is good as well though.

Can you, i couldn't find it anywhere in the hub and trust me i looked, when i contacted cs they said only way to do it was to request from them or turn iff during first purchase, wonder if they've changed it as was bad practice in my opinion or if depends which version of hub you have, i always log in to bitdefender hub not avangate my account but good to know for future

Make sure you turn off auto renewal before buying, no way to do it from account after purchase, have to contact cs

i got caught by the auto renew last year and was charged £57, Bit defender were very good and refunded my money after contacting them. A very good product just make sure you disable the auto renew.

Total price is £14.64 once VAT is added

Just trialling their AV but this is a much better offer.

When it states 5 PC's so they have to be all in the same household or could I share the key with family members.?

Great find OP! Been using it for 4 years and my current subscription just expired. They didn't give me a good renewal price so went back to Windows Defender. At this price I will install it again. It's a good product!

Damn ! I bought 10 devices for £35 on new year's day bc I thought the holiday offer might end. Even though I'm not going to activate it till a month's time. This works out cheaper

It''s a good product but not the best, but then no single product is. All AV software have limitations and cannot protect you from every piece of malware. You still have to be sensible how you use your PC and careful what you allow to run on it.
