Genuine question for the tech minded. My virgin router is right at the front of my house, and a speed test in the same room gives me an impressive download speed, but my smart TV at the back of the house struggles to stream video, and in my daughters loft conversion there is virtually no wifi at all. I cannot move the router (our main computer is next to it, connected by ethernet).
Don't want to spend more than I have to, what is my best solution?
Many thanks.

You might do well to use power line in your house given you want to extend it two ways and use video streaming. How old is the house/electrical wiring?

I would go with a range extender with external antennas which may be your solution!
These are 12:99 in Curry's if lucky enough to find stock.non near me so 15 delivered off eBay and it arrived in a amazon sealed box.

That means someone bought it cheaper from Amazon after you ordered but had the delivery 'gift sent' to you. Happens a fair bit on eBay tbh.

My router is in a dining room at the far end of the house so bought this to sit in the hallway outside that room so it boosts the signal through the whole house. Set up was easy and it's sat there without issue for a year. One of the smarter looking types of these also.

I gotta say thanks though for the reminder to return it, and after the refund it will mean I got a Hue bulb for about £10, so every cloud, silver lining etc.

I don't know if I got a faulty one but this thing was garbage, didn't work past the initial setup. Got Powerline adapters in the end and set up an old Xiaomi Mi Router.

If you don't have Amazon Prime, you still have to pay delivery or be forced to buy something you don't need. I voted hot nevertheless.

BT Wifi Extender N300 is £12.97 at Currys... I think that will be a better choice, it also works with all internet providers. ideal for people who don't have Prime or would rather pick themselves.
