Dropped down again for the next fortnight, bargain if you've just picked up the console over Chrimbo (be aware this'll be about 100gb for both at least for your hard drive).

Battlefield 4 is an amazing game that still has a very good online community which speaks volumes

Agreed. I fired it up again for first time in quite a while. Still loads of players and still great.

That is good for the price. The campaigns are a bit suspect tho which is a shame

Damn fine deal! Tempted by it just to try out Hardline, Battlefield 4 was amazing when I had it a few years back and I fear I could get pulled right back in  HEAT OP

If you really don't want Hardline then Battlefield 4 is £5.79
Been waiting for this to drop ever since the Battlefield 4 DLC was free.

Same, I spotted them drop for free a few months back. added to library and been waiting for the game to present itself. I've battered hardline and its acceptable, but servers started to thing out. So for £5, i'll bag BF4 later.

I sold my disc copy of BF4 as I grew tired of it but when it popped up on PSN last year for £4 (IIRC) with all DLC being available free at the time I jumped straight back in. I've shelved BF1 in favour of this as BF1 contains far too many annoyances aimed at the more casual player.

i agree. bf1 is limited and not many unlocks or things to aim for. loved bf3 and will get this. heat

So... Just discovered that I had asked my brother to "purchase" the free DLC as I was away. He did it on his own account and I don't have them..

Agree its bad especially compared to BF4, it had a good base, with cops vs robbers idea, but they ruined it, it should have never been a Battlefield title.

just bought and you can select individually which game to download. just did battlefield 4 with maps over 60GB. yah.
i should have resisted the force with battlefront ultimate edition £24.99. LOL
excellent games for less than £4 each

does BF4 come with any of the map packs?
hasj2 to upset brown pant
6 Jan 171#22
IMO the map packs would be a waste, there is probably 1-2 servers for each map if that, most people are playing the standard maps.
Plus they released free maps on the PS Store, Night Operations for example which turns maps to night only. There are also other ones i cant remember.

I enjoy Battlefield 4 more than Battlefield 1.
BF4 has amazing maps and amazing weaponry, from tanks to AR's.
Love BF4.

I bought BF4 back when I bought a PS4 two years ago but thought it was kind of boring. Anyone know if its improved? Also not sure its worth it even at this price as they take up so much space and I already have COD 4 remastered which takes 60GB itself.

It has improved vastly from the release version you played but the gameplay is still "boring". I'm guessing the faster pacing of COD is more your thing.

they have some community maps, made by people " the community " i believe these are free, if you missed the free dlc maps a few months back

Without a doubt the standard maps are more popular but 1-2 servers each for the additional map packs isn't true.
Some of them are extremely busy, the Seccond Assault pack (remakes from BF3) like Caspien Border, Gulf of Oman & Metro are always populated as are Pearl Market, Propaganda and Sunken Dragon from the Dragons Teeth pack.
Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead and Hangar 21 from The Final Stand pack are some of the best maps out of the bunch.
Also it isn't just maps that come with the DLC, there's new weapons, gadgets, skins, assignments, vehicles and game modes as well.
I just ran a quick filter and search with 12 maps from the DLC maps and there is 100+ servers selectable with the first few dozen all full. As you whittle it down to a specific game mode/type obviosuly it does reduce down quite abit but that's the same with most.
As for BF: Hardline, I've no idea. Sold that a while a go

i wish you would have went 1 step further, because sure there is a lot of servers, but how many are full, cause I see a lot of servers with half full lobbies and also it is the weekend so some people might have bought a few servers now.
but yeah maybe I've underestimated how full.
and I completely forgot about Operation Metro, that map along with Operation Locker always have atleast 10 full servers
