I went to cancel, they offered me a free credit to stay. I accepted and then cancelled.
This offer was right on the front page and signed up again.
How do they even make money out of this?

They emailed me this offer too, but when I clicked through it was 75% off, making it only £1.99 a month for 3 months.

Got this email too and said it was £2.99 but actually went through as £1.99!

Once you sign up for £1.99, it has your account as '1 month membership' and says in the email confirmation 'Your 1 book monthly membership plan will renew at £7.99' ??

How bizarre. I went to cancel my subscription, took the offer of 1 free credit, cancelled anyway, then used this offer. Seems good to me!

It always says that but they only take £1.99 for the 3 months

Just a side comment you can finish the book and the return it say that you didn't like and they return your credit.
More off a library to me. At least I use them that way. And you can always take 6 month payments pause's whenever you want.

Also I will recommend The Martian and Fear the Sky: The Fear Saga, Book 1 + 2 + 3
good deal, but buying credits through ebay still the cheapest way I believe.

I cancelled last week (got free credit last time and this same offer time before) today I got this offer by email £1.99 for 3 months = win. I also use the oneclickaudio app and get audio books from my library for free but use audible for new releases. Really doesn't pay to pay £7.99 a month.

Would re-sub but finding books that I liked is harder than I thought it would be, even for £2.99 a month, still heated anyway, good offer if you can find something you would like. I would highly recommend The Martian, was told about it by someone else and found it really compelling.
just done as other post extra credit and new mth contract £2.99. Great.

So I signed up for a free month trial, which gave me a free credit, then cancelled and was offered another credit to stay, then actually cancelled, then it let me use the 1.99 a month deal for returning customers before I'd paid a penny.
3 credits for 1.99 for new customers!
