£8 for Donnie Darko is a bargain, cost me £12.99 when it was released on Monday. This one appears to be missing the slipcover (not that it matters) Heat from me

Great price for Arrow releases, the transfer quality is always top notch. I just hope that those clear plastic cases are for display only but I'm a bit concerned that they're not as that's how they appear on the advertising poster. If they're the usual editions then they're worth about £20-30 each so this is a real bargain, but somehow they look like budget versions.

sure its only a 1 disc version, read something on their facebook page about it
There are still extras on the first disc for all of these. Confirmed these are 'stripped down' editions, so just the main disc and no booklet - Donnie Darko, The Hills Have Eyes and Hellraiser haven't been available separately outside of a limited edition version or box set until now.
This version of Donnie Darko is the Theatrical Cut disc only, and no booklet. The one available from other retailers for about £13-15 includes the Director's Cut disc as well as a booklet and slipcover.
I might go for Videodrome or Hellraiser myself next time I pop down, and use up some of my Nectar points in the process. That said, the newly restored Blu-ray of Michael Mann's Heat is out in a couple of weeks and Sainsbury's will probably stock it so I might wait for that instead...
read the facebook post arrow themselves say its one disc!

Arrow Video Hey guys, this version of Donnie is a slimmed down release (single disc of the theatrical cut with no booklet or slipcase). Hope that helps!

Again, these all have on-disc extras on the disc (though very few on Battle Royale, so you're better off getting the 2-disc version of that). I went to my local yesterday and had a look at the back of them to check.

Btw, if anyone's considering getting John Carpenter's Christine from Sainsbury's, you'd be better off tracking down the Limited Dual Format Edition instead (Indicator Series). This cheaper supermarket version has literally no extras, nor a booklet or DVD copy. The Limited Edition is apparently about to sell out so worth getting from HMV (2 for £25) or elsewhere.
However, £10 for Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 is a good deal as that's a brand new disc from Second Sight and I watched it recently (excellent film, one of his best). Looks great and has a tonne of decent extras too, many newly recorded. There's a Limited Edition version still available elsewhere but it's £15-20 (includes soundtrack CD, art cards).

Yes, it's the first disc only. If you want the second disc as well - which contains the Director's Cut and several more extras - you'll have to buy the 2-disc version (with booklet and slipcover). There was also a 4-disc limited edition version which is now sold out from most places (though you may be lucky and find a copy in HMV or elsewhere).

Some of these titles might be in the HMV 5 FOR £30, they normally have some ARROW titles among the selection!, if anyone is interested.

The Tarantino box set for £15 looks like an ok deal as well. Your saving a few quid on it there too, think I'll pop in on Saturday morning to see what my local has. Head added too

Why are you getting excited over Arrow Video, what's so special about them?

One of the best genre labels out there. The Criterion of cult films, in a way. So yes, a label to get excited about IMO.
