I am usually suspicious of anything in Early Access, but that behaviour sets off far more alarm bells. No thanks - get your game finished, properly released and reviewed and then I'll consider it.

PC gaming is for professionals that's why you are on the bottom list rather on PS4 on to of the list. DONOT COMPARE PEOPLE PC TO PS4/X'ONE ITS NOT COMPARABLE BECAUSE PC IS JUST THE BEST IN ANY WAY OF PLAYING

Thanks for the reply.
I purchased it because it looks like a fun game and for 7.50 it's not too bad if I don't play it.
I know about big picture mode  what I was trying to say is that when I play with a joy pad I get completely destroyed by mouse and keyboard players. I cannot compete with them.
Eg. I have Battlefield 1 for both PC and PS4. On PC I'm almost always dead last in the rankings but on PS4 I am often at the top of the board.

Would I be better getting this on PC or PS4?
My PC is high end but if online is really competitive then I often struggle cos I'm a lay down on the sofa with a joy pad kind of gamer.
I find on PC, that I can't do that and remain competitive.
In which case I'd opt for the PS4 version.
I would go find out for myself and youtube some reviews and stuff but I'm actually at work.... on the toilet.

I don't have a lot of time on the PC version but this deal is worth it imo because there is a lot of game for the price, when you log out of a server your character falls asleep leaving you and your stuff to be raided and killed. You will keep levels when you respawn so you can only have your items stolen, not your player progress.
That being said, this will only happen on certain pvp seevers" there are pve servers where only dinos are the threat... Or you can play solo too.
If you like to lie on the sofa and semi-relax (overwhelming game at first because there's a lot you can do) then you can use big-picture mode on steam and use a controller. Hope that helps!

Have they fixed the poor optimisation yet?
Seems like devs prefer to cash grab on releasing expansion packs rather than fix the lag.
Had a 980ti on 1080p 1 year back, and the game still ran like poo.
Like 30fps

You can upload your character and tames via any obelisk or drop to switch server.

£7 plus the cost of a new hard drive to store the 50gb on. Hot deal nevertheless, thanks OP.

My daughter loves this game I bought a second copy so I can play locally with her really good game and mods are easy to add with one click on steam no more of that minecraft messing about with stupid versions but she uses cheats all the time it takes too long to properly tame animals use force tame and get on with it great game but needs a descent pc my fx 6300, 16gb ram and gtx 670 stutters quite a bit it's not an amazing pc but should be able to run this better so guess there coding is not great and this should be finished by now definitely worth it for this money but much better with someone to play with single player is boring with no objectives

Ark is a great game, I've been playing it for about a year now (Xbox One) It has many bugs some of which have been there for months but gameplay wise its great.
Downside is the Scorched Earth DLC that they charged for, it was a pisstake! Also this is a game, assuming your playing official, where your going to meet idiots who think because they are better advanced than you in the game their balls have grown considerably (Chat warriors)! Just ignore them and laugh them off!
Be prepared to be raided and then to be raided again, if not by trolls (Just another way of playing the game) Then by the Alpha! Unless your lucky enough to find a good server! There are many great players and servers out there, its just a case of finding them which can be a ball ache!
For the price imo its worth it, it just takes time to get used to, maybe play single player for a week to get the basics then try your hand at official. However stay away from Scorched Earth until you know how to play the game, its ruthless and could put you off playing it anymore!
P.S All based on PVP based gameplay not PVE
P.P.S Currently playing a mix of Official - The Centre and Island maps and a Dedicated Centre - TheTrinity247

The Steam reviews of this put me off, mega clans wiping servers, constant imbalance, bug abuse etc

i started by playing on servers but it's a real ball ache when ur character you've built up is only accessible on one server, then I kept getting done over but people stronger, losing my gear etc. gave up and play it in single player, so much more fun and no server messing!

Negative reviews from Steam who are saying after 0.4 hours of playtime that the game is bad, is just ridiculous.
Yes it could be more optimized but hey it's an early access game, and for that, it's pretty awesome. Also, on my i7 6700 with an RX480 everything is maxed out and i have no problems at all with the game.

I disregard those, but when you have people with hundreds of hours saying the same thing is spells trouble IMO.
