Hard luck, looks like a few got lucky and managed to get one before Argos blocked staff honouring flyer price.Flyers still in my local with £18.99 price too.

ordered mine said it would take a couple days went in to get it yesterday and they refused to give it although it was accepted when I ordered a few days ago

I got mine yesterday, chap on the till said it was an official leaflet so put it through at £18.99! Bargain.... thanks for posting I've wanted one for ages :smirk:

head office have detected this error therefore all argos staff have been emailed to say that if a customer comes in to let them know it's a pricing error and are unable to honour it. lucky I got mines yesterday.

just been, they have put a note on the product on their system that says it's a pricing error. store staff said "if it wasn't on there, I could have honoured it". manager unable to do anything.

I wonder if they've put anything in place to stop managers honouring this, or if they're just trying to put us off from trying.

I think it's a little too late for your email as most have been honoured and most now are out of stock.

I wouldn't trust the staff themselves.

Printing the wrong price once is an error but it's printed twice at 18.99

Even if you missed the "in store " only part, his description explains how he had to physically talk to someone in order for the to honour the price reduction. How would that ever happen online? Come on, it was pretty silly...

I've tried myself in Slough with the ad in hand and I've been told that " sorry, it's an error" and even though many people has complained.......it's £69.99.

As much as the price seems good has anyone ever used it yet. Such a poor design floor that it doesnt get to the sides or bottom of bowl properly. My wife has one and she uses a hand mixer in the bowl because of this

12.30pm Monday afternoon Stevenage Argos refused to honour it - I had the brochure in my hand with the advert & checked stock levels and they had 3 in stock ... went to pay and she said none in stock until Friday .. on duty manager came over and knew all about it and said the whole country had suspended sales (clearly not true) because of a printing error and absolutely refused to sell it at the advertised £18.99 even when I walked him over to the machine showing it WAS in stock

Reserved one for collection tomorrow, although strangely no email or text confirmation, so reserved another and still no email or text confirmation!!! Not sure whether to bother paying the store a visit now so many refused the lower price.

got one around 5:30pm from my local store (Greenock). Plenty of leaflets in-store with the £18.99 price. The assistant had to check with the manager who said it was to be honoured but couldn't believe the price and thinks it is a mistake. Ive bought it........but do i need it? :confused:

The Perth store has the brochure that was in the paper outside, in fact a few in Tayside do as I was texting people asking if anyone had the brochure from the weekend. Reserved at full price and went in paid as posted - I played dumb as was collecting for a elderly relative - was told being honoured today only. Which makes no sense if you ain't pulled the brochure from instore stands ?

Hi everyone, just picked up 2 in Bromley Market Square ( one for here and the other for my house in Jamaica) Shop assistant honoured it straight away. She said there's no bulletin on the item so they have to, she also said it happens all the time, £499.99 put as £49.99 and its honoured. If they say no ask to speak to head office, i picked up the leaflet instore

Just spoke with an online chat guy and he says if you take the leaflet instore then they WILL honour it. He says he can't see a reason why they have not been honouring them. Worth arguing the toss if you really want one to be honest because this is an amazing deal.

It's funny how much people don't know, just because they miss printed the price doesn't mean they will honour it, if they do well I'd sack them. It's an invitation to buy nothing else.

Unfortunately I don't think this will help, as it's up to the manager of that particular store if they honour it or not. Gutted I didn't get mine!

Tried it in London and they just said that it was a print error and apologised. Wasn't about to kick up a fuss, they're not obliged to honour it as it's obviously an error.

Update: Any store has stock, reserve it and if they refuse to honour ask Manager to speak with other store who have honoured for this thread and they will do it reluctantly. Have patience and will get it. Hope this helps.

Bootle strand store have honoured it none in stock but they are delivering for free at £18.99 if you take the leaflet to the store assistant and don't say you've seen the real price

The flyers are in store - I took mine to the counter with me to show them (as I knew assistant would say £69.99 when she rung it through) They wouldn't honour it and said that it was an error and that as long as they advise the customer of the correct price before they pay then they are within their rights not to honour the lower price.
I do think it's the luck of which assistant you get (prior to Argos catching on to the error and marking it as such on the screens)

Correct. However, I got one, so did my Mum, Sister and Auntie, from different stores so it is definitely worth a shot! It says on the flyer "prices valid for 11 days from the date of publication" which is why, I was told, they reduced the price.

Prices change in the catalogue all the time. They do not have to honour this deal. Will be hit or miss if you get lucky but worth a try if you need on I suppose
