The PS4 had more exclusives than any other console and that gap is widening with the few Xbox exclusives there are being reduced or cancelled at a worrying rate, Scalebound being the latest.

When the PS3 was taking a beating early last gen, Sony really pushed hard on exclusive titles and turned things around but MS seem to be doing the opposite and cutting back on exclusive games which would be the only reason to buy the system.

I got the white console, RE7, blue controller for £229, and then used my £10 voucher to get Rocket League and Fry Cry 4 for £20. So new Glacier White Slim, Blue DS4, and 3 games for £250

They have lots of multi platform games but not many exclusives worth paying the price for, wouldn't mind playing uncharted and of course the last of us when comes out but apart from that I have big back log of Xbox one games to play! Not that interested in the PS4 indie games either :smiley: each to there own :smiley:

Picked up mine this afternoon. After speaking to the store manager as the assistant didn't know how to change the deal on the system for £229 not £249 and showing my email confirmation they honoured the deal. Also had to show the reservation in my Argos account as the email wasn't clear enough to show deal, to me it was but not to them. Ps4 in white and white controller plus Ps4 controller in blue, resident evil 7 and £10 voucher. Looks fab in white. Will wait for Ps4 pro too till a good deal comes up tho.

A games console is all about the games and at the moment PS4 has more games than Xbox. PS4 has even surpassed the ps2 software library!

anybody collected there's with price change? just about to go collect my reservation now but was in two orders as they didn't have the controller in at the time.. just wondering if they will try charge the £249 now with having two reservation numbers.

Were the game and console available for immediate collection and the controller something like after 4 pm - do you have two reservation numbers? This was what my first reservation was like and the confirmation email only had the two items on. I did another one with a different colour controller that was also in stock and that time I got an email with all three items on it. Needless to say it will be the second reservation I'll try and pick up later though if I didn't have that email I'd have tried to get the first one still but I'd imagine they could wriggle out of it if they wanted. Probably just depends what's on their system but as it's under two reservations I can see this being an issue. Good luck though.

Agree with comment above by Nihir I have done this before and have always paid the price I reserved at (which has always been lower). They have never questioned it and I highly doubt that they ever will.

Last generation suffered due to remember there was problem with money/economy not doing well and people losing jobs etc...so when Sony launched PS3 they actually made loss on each PS3 launch. Prices were not very much reduced. They had to keep prices in order to main a healthy profit etc.

This generation is different as it's not like last generation so they can drop prices.

To be fair the base model PS4 produces stunning graphics and performance so I don't feel the need to upgrade. If you want the very best graphics on a console though then you should consider the Pro.

That looks nice, I do like white. I sold mine though to upgrade to the pro for £80, it is on a black glass stand which is nice but doesn't pop out at me as much as the white one did. I am like you with trying to keep things minimalised but I am a collector so very difficult.

​I have my optical cable plugged into the back of my tv and connect the ps4 you the TV. set the TV to use the optical as it's primary source, that way my sky box, pc and ps4 can all use the same system. I have no issues with 5.1 it works fine.

​I have to disagree there, there are games that support 1080p 60fps or apply super sampling to smooth edges. another example ark runs about 20-35 fps on the normal and 45-60fps on the pro.
