Just found this while looking for a phone for my son and couldn't see it posted on here.
This is a contract deal for an iPhone SE 64GB on a 24 month contract with no upfront cost.
3 contracts are avaliable
600 mins, 5000 text, 500MB 4G data - £21.50 a month (total cost £516)
300 mins, 5000 text, 1GB 4G data - £23.50 a month (total cost £564)
600 mins, 5000 text, 2GB 4G data - £25.50 a month (total cost £612)
I can't find any other contract that gets close to this.

Nothing wrong with Nokia's mate. My 1020 is 2 years old and still going strong.

It's a good price but google or look at previous Id threads on here and see if you can live with their customer service and phone unlocking at end of contracts before committing.

A whole TWO years old and still going strong eh? The very reason the iPhone SE was released was people were not upgrading from their still perfectly fine iPhone 5 / 5s, which is four and a half / three and a half years old.

The 1020 is actually almost four years old and I bet it would still give current flagships a run for their money. For all that, one of my daughters has the SE and it seems a decent phone, albeit crap battery, nice camera.

"crap battery" nope, great battery. My SE easily lasts a day and a half before it requires charging.

Glad I got my iPhone 7 when I did then. Worked out at £748 over 2 years. Unlimited messages and calls and 2gb of data

Battery probably seems crap but thats probably because she uses the iPhone far more. My personal phone is an Xperia Z3 Compact, work phone is an iPhone 5S, and I have an old Lumia 1020 I keep and use primarily as a camera with a built-in emergency phone for special events and occasions. As with all Windows Phones, the Windows Store is what ruins it - no where near as many apps as iOS/Android, or those that are there are way behind those on other platforms.

You perhaps may be right - although her battery is often flat after she finishes school and she hasn't been on it during lessons - at least not the whole lesson.... I'm not knocking it as a phone, merely pointing out that battery life is far from outstanding - even she acknowledges she's always having to charge it and it has worse battery life than the Android phone she broke before getting it. It does seem very quick and smooth though and, crucially I suppose for her generation, the front camera is really quick for those selfie things.
But in terms of Windows Phones - I agree that Microsoft dropped the ball to some degree and it is likely to continue to cost them, but not everyone who needs a smartphone is app obsessed. Indeed, on my Windows phone, I tend to use a couple of news/RSS newsreader apps, an HUKD app, Wordament, WhatsApp, Kindle, Audible, RBS, Flixster, a few different photo apps, Facebook if I must, Supertube, OneNote and a weather app. All work perfectly fine. Indeed, the RBS app works better on my phone than the RBS website on my PC. For everything else, I have Edge browser which does all I need on the web. Everything I need syncs well, Outlook does all I need with a few linked accounts from various webmail clients, all the precious photos and videos I take or receive are automatically safely uploaded into OneDrive so losing or breaking my phone would just be an inconvenience rather than a crisis, and entering my login info into a new Windows Phone would restore all of them without fuss. Oh, it also texts very well, works as a phone very well, still has stellar battery life from its original (removable) battery nearly two years on and Cortana works pretty well too. Add to that downloadable, offline mapping for the whole world if I want it - yup, I'm happy enough with Windows Phone. No doubt plenty would say "ah but it's missing this app or that app" - well, maybe it's not for you then.

Mobiles.co.uk not sure what deals they have now but just to give you an idea.. I paid £125 upfront for phone and pay £25.99 a month. I know apple haters will say it's still not worth it but if you can find an iPhone deal under £800 over the 2 years with a couple of gb of data then I think it's a fair deal. I think personally most people want the 7 plus and maybe why the iPhone 7 has dropped a bit

**Just one thing to bear in mind with ID mobile, at least regarding an iPad data sim - IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE IF YOU GO OVER YOUR DATA.

Avoid ID mobile at all costs. Signal issues and customer services unhelpful. I've just found myself tied into a 24 nth contact and am unable to make or receive calls!!

No issue other than I felt it was expensive for what extra data I used. I was charged almost £13.00 for going over my data by 592MB.
So I'll let everyone else make their mind up on wether that's expensive or not.
