Lowest price for this battery! I was looking for a genuine battery for my wife's Note 4 and this is the cheapest ever price for this battery. Many other sellers sell fake Samsung batteries which will be crap compared to this.

I've been looking for one all night...I even contacted them at Samsung who are USELESS BTW. And they give me 3 links (after 2months of begging them in email) of which 1 did not even work and the other 2 had none in stock. I'm a little weary of this battery as it's not Samsung. .it's been in my basket since a few days ago lol. Probably shoot up in price since its been posted!

I bought this battery around a month ago (for around £13 I think) as I've used Anker batteries and products before and they've always been great. On this occasion the new battery wasn't as good as the one it was replacing, but Anker replaced it with minimal fuss.

I've had this battery for a year and it's been great. It fast charges quickly and holds its charge well.
Having had the Note 4 since release, the original battery started switching off with 15% charge left, but replacing the battery cured it. I still use the old battery as an extra on long journeys, but I've just ordered an additional one, so thanks OP!

I've just recently bought one ofor these (for the higher price - grrr) as my Note 4 would continually reboot unless it was plugged in to either mains or a portable battery pack.
Now the phone works fine, quick charge is fast, seems faster than the original Samsung battery that came with the phone but that might be because it's a newer battery?
Two questions, should I get another as a backup and will Amazon refund the £6 difference?

I have this battery, and have done for a while, but had to revert back to my stock battery recently until I decide how best to proceed. It's as good as the Samsung battery, but however the battery is constructed, the Note seems to struggle to calculate the remaining charge in the battery. Certainly with high drain apps like the camera, it will often turn off around the 20% mark and when you come to charge it, will display its actual level of charge as 1%.
It is also noticeably slower to charge than the original battery. I'd put a rough estimate at double the time to charge to full.
Worth noting that this battery is bigger than the stock Samsung battery and doesn't sit flush to the case, so anyone with a tight fitting case around the Note might find that it doesn't fit properly or there is a bulge in it.

Well if the phone turns off when you have 20% battery remaining and takes twice the amount of time to charge it, you obviously have a faulty battery "heavy user" or not.
Not necessarily. There are plenty of N4 users who had issues with their phone shutting down at certain battery percentages and only a few were down to faulty batteries. Though in the above situation, it sounds like he's got a duff unit as my Anker's have never worked any differently to the stock ones.

If you've been charging the phone once daily, maybe multiple times a day or been regularly using quick-charge then your battery capacity has probably diminished a fair bit over 2 years.. Although it shouldn't be causing the issues you've described.
Have you tried "re-calibrating" your battery? I've put re-calibrating in quotes as modern phones and batteries shouldn't ever need calibrating, But hey, it could work right?
Modern android phones also delete this so-called "calibration" data after the phone reaches 100%. The battery itself doesn't store any of this data and isn't physically effected by the procedure. (Except loosing some capacity if drained right down to 0% the charged to 100% multiple times during "calibration")
Most likely your battery has suffered some damage, ether from just general wear / tear, a drop or two or potentially some manufacturing defects which has reduced the life of your battery. Officially Lithium ion batteries have a fairly short lifetime despite a good percentage still being usable years after this lifetime expires. Typically 2-3 years or 300-500 charge cycles including the time it's been sitting in a warehouse before being placed into a phone and before it was sold
I highly doubt you're suffering from EMMC failure as that would leave you with a brick..

Most days my phone is on my desk, attached to a (Blackberry) MicroUSB cable to my desktop PC. Not sure if that's a bad thing.
I've got a Blackberry Playbook charger (hey, I like the Blackberry accessories as they're well-made and cheap!), that charges around 2A but that's only if I'm in a hurry.
I've read about re-calibrating on the Android Forums ages ago, will have a look around, see if that helps.

I had pretty much the same issue, after about 2 years my original battery would switch off around 20%, I think it was losing charge quicker also.
At the moment I'm using an alleged 'Samsung' replacement for the past few months but not 100% convinced by the life, if I use it fairly heavily (not extreme usage) it doesn't last the day. Might pick up one of these for comparison, if nothing else it means I'll have a spare to take on trips etc.
Azurren
2 Jan 171#72
In theory keeping your phone plugged in constantly shouldn't really have any negative effect on the battery.. Although it may have taken a greater toll on the battery over 2 years than someone performing regular charge cycles.
Still a new battery would probably solve your problem and at this price it's hard to say no. At the very least you'll have a spare battery to carry with you if you ever need it! (Traveling, intense gaming sessions, powercuts, etc.)

I've got mine charging, it's at 100% on the display but the light is still Red, rather than Green? Is this just because it's new? Was going to unplug it and let the battery deplete naturally once it was charged.

I've had my Note 4 switching off at various percentages before the battery gauge is empty ranging from 5% up to as high as 35% although I don't think it's a battery issue as a replacement geniune Samsung does the same and it's entirely inconsistent. It was happening for a while off and on but it's been behaving itself for a while, I have tried battery calibration procedures but it didn't make any difference. My first Note 1 developed a battery fault around 14 months but it was more clearcut, it shut down at 40% every time and there was a noticeable swelling on the battery.
For those wanting a genuine Samsung battery I found it difficult as the Samsung store didn't seem to have them and there were so many for sale claiming to be genuine that clearly weren't. Eventually I found Samsung released a package with a battery with an external charger (allowing the battery to be charged on its own), there didn't seem to be any fake ones of this at the time so it ensured a genuine battery. Although someone made the good point earlier that many of these batteries are likely years old now.
I'm a bit concerned by the high amount of reviewers that had issues with the battery that have bought it recently although I guess at £8 it's still worth a go given it does now support NFC and QC (if I'm reading comments here correctly?) and Anker warranty seems good.

Had it verified by samsung and also ripped the outer foil off to give them the serial number.
Paid about 10 pound with delivery got quite lucky
The battery lasts 5hours max...a full charge without use lasts 10 hours for me which is pointless unless I'm working and busy during any break :P
handtec.co.uk sell genuine samsung mobile accessories etc..I've always brought mine from and never had an issue with my 2 spare batteries (I'm a heavy user), wireless and fast mains and car charger.
I had a issue the initial battery which came with the phone and Samsung replaced that without any problems
I've got mine charging, it's at 100% on the display but the light is still Red, rather than Green? Is this just because it's new? Was going to unplug it and let the battery deplete naturally once it was charged.
Edit: Actually, scrap that, it's at Green now.
Nah, only kidding. Ordered + heat!
