Which 99p ones are you referring to?
Are they glass? if so, chances are, they are not as thick or strong as these Anker ones.
Thinner and weaker glass protectors tend to crack.
Plastic screen protectors tend to be awful.

Glass screen protectors are much nicer to use, they're more slippery so scrolling etc is better.

Discovered glass protectors a year ago. Way better than plastic and much easier to apply. Good value.

Only difference between these 7 and the 6s ones is the top speaker cutout is slightly bigger for the 7 but it still fits fine. To be honest, having used both, other than the brand name, there is no perceivable quality difference in the finish, cut or materials used by the Anker 7 or the Poundland 6s/6 ones.
Also, another reason I don't like curved displays, you can't use glass protectors - fortunately the iPhone curve is off-screen so it's unaffected.

Screen protectors are pointless in my opinion.
Screens are already Gorilla Glass and will not scratch.

That's the silliest opinion I've seen in all my time on HUKD. There's no way you can count on a gorilla glass screen not cracking if your phone drops. And I've seen enough phones with scratches to know that the gorilla glass isn't 100% scratch proof. These tempered glass protectors act as a precautionary measure and are far cheaper to replace than the screen of a phone - as many people would have learnt the hard way.

I remember the Gorilla glass 4 on my Samsung Note 4 scratching.
It was surprisingly from the corner of a some hard plastic (can't remember what it was exactly)

And a little protector on the front is going to help it? My iPhone 7 has been naked without a case and protector since the release and I have no scratches on either side.

Good price but tempered glass on the 6/6s/7 design look god awful.
you don't need a fitting guide with any screen protector - line it up, stick one edge down with sellotape so the screen protector looks like the cover of a book, lift it away so you can polish the screen underneath then whip the guard off the screen protector and let it 'fall' naturally onto the screen. I've been doing this for years and never get bubbles or anything. No snazzy alignment things needed.

to those who reckon gorilla glass doesn't scratch - nonsense. I never put anything other than my phone in my 'phone pocket' but I still get little micro scratches on my screen - probably because certain minerals that end up in pockets are harder than glass - such as quartz. Whoever says they've been using their phone since launch and don't have a scratch, show it to me and I guarantee I will find some micro scratches.
They might not bother people (and I understand why) but they bother me, and a £1 screen protector for the peace of mind and extra drop protection is a no brainer for me. Each to their own and all that.

These have a 2 or 3mm or so gap between the edge of the protector and the edge of the screen, just in case any one is expecting these to cover the screen edge to edge.

No glass screen protector will give full coverage on a curved glass like the IPhone ones.
I've had two before - the first drop, the protector shattered and the screen was saved. The second drop, the phone hit the ground on the unprotected edge, so the screen cracked but not the protector!
FWIW, the first protector that did the job was a Patchworks ITG brand. The second was Tech Armor.

Yes it will. Look up the Cinder, it's expensive but it does exactly that.
