Way too much negativity on this page, it sounds to me like jealous people who aren't allowed to spend their mum/dad/wife/husbands money and come on here to try and ruin experiences or discourage other people from buying something they can't have.
Who cares if the 'technology' is ancient compared to what is coming out in the future? Do you stop your self buying a PS4 because you know in ten years time there will be a PS5? Do you stop your self buying a 4K television because there will be an 8K television coming out in five years time? **** off.
I received my PSVR a couple of days ago (I've trialed every VR from Google cardboard to the HTC Vive) and my personal experience says that the PSVR is way above anything else on the market. You're correct when you state it doesn't have a massive library but that's the only downfall. The headset is unbelievably comfortable, I get ZERO motion sickness compared to other VR's due to the high refresh rate and the general experience is absolutely gorgeous.
I absolutely can't wait for Resident Evil (Kitchen scared the hell out of me) and future games to take advantage of this. I've always been at the front of the queue to try out new 'gimmicky' technology (3D and the original Wii controllers for example) but I can guarantee that VR is NOT going to be a gimmick and IS worth your £350-400 (Mine cost £375 and I don't regret it).
P.s. On topic; Werewolves Within is absolutely hilarious. Some of the conversations that go off in the game can have you in tears.

Exactly, i feel VR/AR has more scope outside of gaming than within. Imagine being able to watch the world cup from the touch lines, or be at the front row of Glastonbury right from the comfort of your living room.

Patience is truly a vertue these days, and VR as purley an entertainment platform is more than likely doomed to go the way of the Dinosaurs, where is ''3D and Google Glass'.....dead as as dodo. Augmented Reality is the right direction to go, a solid development platform which is flourishing with new products and realistic costing. VR as a Prosthesis...yeah that works.

ive played PSVR and the VIVE and definitely prefer the PSVR... much more comfortable to wear and the higher refresh rate really helps with motion blur/sickness. its amazing how good it is considering its running on a £200 Console! to get anywhere near the same experience on VIVE you need to spend much more then that.. just because you can look at specs on google doesnt mean it makes it a much superior product. the only problem with the PSVR for me is the Screens slightly lower resolution.. but once you are inside having a blast you forget about it so i can see why sony made their decisions. easy and affordable VR for the masses

Sold my VR just before xmas. Sadly I was one of the people that just couldn't get used to the motion sickness or whatever. Stuff like Rigs was literally stomach churning, Driveclub wasn't much better but if I looked into the bends it eases off. Driveclub also looked like someone had smeared Vaseline over most of the screen (and yes I calibrated the headset for my eye distance).
The potential for the technology is huge, but the games are just a bit like fairground rides at the moment. In 5 years it'll be awesome though.

Listen what you've purchased is adequate as entry level products go, it does the job its intended for and is priced Accordingly, if on the other hand you approach VR with an emphasis on quality, performance, a larger catalog, and deeper pockets that makes a little more sense, if your happy with second best so be it.
And why does a better product have to be more expensive?, we do expect they'll have improved Resolution, Lenses,
with an option for Wireless, be slightly more compact and lighter ect. These improvements are coming without a doubt, and lets not forget the new VR featured chipsets from ARM coming on some 2017 phones, and 6/8GB of ram.
Bury your head in the sand by all means but these companies have invested bucketloads into their products to gain a stake in this market, they cant afford to be idle. Fire up your Macbook and do a little research i'm not doing it for you family man.

Holoball is a great fun one, basically giant futuristic squash in your own front room. With a couple of move controllers it's ace, but you will be knackered and watch out for those light fittings, but has come a cropper a few times with some high shots! https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/holoball/cid=EP0108-CUSA06488_00-0000000000000001, not currently on offer, but I bet it will be at some point soon.

8 Jan 171#91
Sony take a hard line with refunds - even if a product is deemed faulty. Many, including myself, have never managed to get refunds when they're considered mandatory by law. The loop-hole is that you never really buy a digital product from Sony that can be considered 'faulty' - you buy their digital wallet currency which puts you in their ball park.
It doesn't matter if the title is a ported mess, choppy as hell or if you're unhappy with it - they'll point you to tech support; deny any request to refund it. If you know your rights, it's their legal team. That's how they work. So I doubt they'd honour any sort of partial refund or 'good will' gesture on a digital title when they won't entertain legitimate cases where they should refund ;p.
They also have a terrible track record when it comes to fraud cases because of their stance on 'no refunds'

I think Sony is completely the wrong direction to take this late in the current 1st term of Retail VR. There are some interesting products just months away ie: Wireless VR, 4K just to mention a couple, then there are the new ''Cortex-A73 chip and Mali-G71 GPU'' 2017 Phones which are tailored for VR. If you haven't yet taken the plunge into VR hang onto your dough as present hardware is pretty jurassic...and lets not even mention the games which border on insulting, amateurish, expensive and dull.

VR Job Simulator? Realy!!?
Can't you just get a second job - it's just like real work with smells and 3D effects, more tasks to do than time allows and a stressed out boss that's having an affair with your colleague half his age so you have to pretend to his wife they're "checking the stock" again and everything. I won't ruin the ending totally, but let's just say that when he's finally caught it would have been better not to have been running an umberella shop.
I only gave it 2 stars last time I tried but I didn't realise I was meant to be enjoying it! PEGI 15+

This is fiction. When Amazon did things like refund you it's because they can afford to take the loss, not because it's sustainable as a business practice for any business to do. It's the same reason they price match Argos etc. - it's to stop you going elsewhere in the long term.
And don't talk about loyalty as if it's real - you'll go where the price is cheapest, which is exactly why Amazon pull the tactics they do to stay the behemoth they are.

I have not had a lot of time on my psvr.......no.....not because i don't like it, just life, lol. Finding time. Haha. One thing i will say is........the time i spent on it........i was blown away.......i never played any demo vr headset before this ever.......my 1st experience.
I have a t300rs racing wheel and pedals and wanted to see how it felt....seeming as so many complained about sickness.......wooooow. My 1st thought with the wheel was mind blowing. I did feel my stomach lift slightly on the 1st few corners, but my brain quickly trained the feeling and i was plaing for an hour none stop. The feeling just proves how immersive it is. People said how the graphics are blurry in distance..... Yes....ok....its is.....but the reality is im focusing on winning a race right infront of my eyes.......which i have no issue with at all. Im not bothered about the mountain whilst racing.......it may not be 4k or as perfect as your best hd.......but its more immersive.
I got eve valkyrie waiting to play when i got time... I loved the demo and got it for 24.85 at xmas.
Oh yeah. Getting resident evil for sure. I love horror films and games.

100% agree. I like vr and don't want it to end up like another wii or kinect. I want it to succeed and have the best of both worlds....playing on a normal tv relaxing in bed. Then having a go on vr.

Werewolves Within is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. Initially I wasn't keen on the idea of a game where you just sit around talking to the other players, but once you've learned the rules and played a few games you can easily sink 6-7 hours into a session without even noticing it. I've probably played over 100 hours and would recommend it even if it was a full price £50 game. At £15.99 it's a steal.

There's no reason for them to. You chose to pay for the games at the listed prices, if you wanted a discounted price you would wait. Amazon no longer refund the price difference on products bought prior to price drops. The only eligible goods are tvs. It's a courtesy.

standard is fine and still a great experience apparently.. i use the Pro with mine but havent tried on my standard so couldnt say.
ive read the difference is just slightly better image clarity.. also if theyre supported the pro runs games at better framerates ofcourse. and you have downsampling so it renders the image at 2k or 4k then displays it in a 1080p format this improves issues like jaggy edges

Ditto with batman i don't have move controllers still waiting for stock levels to get better. I have bought afew that need them but obviously i can't play them yet.
I've only ever tried to play werewolves in the evening/night and each time the game has started within minutes of logging in. I've not played with anyone whose abusive in the game i suppose it does happen but you do have the ability to vote someone off if they are annoying the rest of the group. With this price cut i'd say it won't be too difficult to get a game at any time now.

Pinball fx is very good. Really feels like pinball. Never played a pinball game before where I was fully happy with the view point. This one is perfect. One tip tho, play standing up, the tracking is terrible sat down.
Have also got keep talking, good fun for a while but becomes a bit repetitive too quickly when you've seen the various challenges, worth it for this price for a few hours play. It's Multiplayer only tho

Seems over looked as a PSVR game yet it one of the best sellers and gets best reviews on vive.
I love it, not as good as arizona sunshine but still excellent.

Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes is a fun local multiplayer thing. One person uses VR to view a "bomb" (a box with a bunch of logic puzzles on the outside), the other players can't see the box but use a bomb defusal manual (viewed either on the TV screen, mobile device, or printed out) to tell the person using VR how to defuse the bomb. Pretty good value at £8 if you enjoy co-op games and have 1 or more people around to play it with.

Keep talking and Nobody Explodes isn't a tech demo, but it also doesn't need VR. It's worth getting as a game, not just as a VR game.

Bought Surgeon Simulator the day it came out and it was very much broken and far too buggy (hence the low stars i guess), however, they have since fixed this, and whilst it is the same as the original but in virtual reality, it really is an awesome game.

werewolves is great fun graphics are ok but it comes into its own when your playing with others all trying to deceive each other. I've not played any of the others in the sale pinball is very cheap but not sure if it would be a game i'd play once and never play again esepcially if you only get 3 tables.

Pinball FX2 VR is meant to be very good but only comes with 3 tables - additional season pack (which adds 5 additional tables I think...) is an extra 20 pounds.

I last checked places just before christmas, was laughed out of Game (felt like Arnie in Jingle all the Way
Preferably Amazon as I've vouchers, but no stock update there in weeks.
The potential for the technology is huge, but the games are just a bit like fairground rides at the moment. In 5 years it'll be awesome though.
And the Lottery Numbers are?????????????
Not everybody's cup of tea but best £15 I have spent in a long time.
I still have to play the RE7 demo, gonna give that a bash tonight I reckon.
I've just purchased a PS4 Pro and VR headset but only purchased RE7 so far. Hoping to find some more games. Sports Bar VR looks like it could be a laugh...
A. You've not tried PSVR???
B. The two "better" products are not out yet???
C. What will the cost of these "better" products be? They'd have to be quite a bit more expensive to warrant being significantly better imo!!
But, as your such a guru can I have next weeks lottery numbers please?
It doesn't matter if the title is a ported mess, choppy as hell or if you're unhappy with it - they'll point you to tech support; deny any request to refund it. If you know your rights, it's their legal team. That's how they work. So I doubt they'd honour any sort of partial refund or 'good will' gesture on a digital title when they won't entertain legitimate cases where they should refund ;p.
They also have a terrible track record when it comes to fraud cases because of their stance on 'no refunds'
Exactly the sort of weird, completely different sort of game I bought into VR for. Think everyone that owns one needs to give it a go.
I got an Oculus Rift instead last week and hopefully it should arrive next week.
In case anyone knows about this PC model, as I don't know much just yet. Do you know any game or VR windows app that's recommended for the Oculus?
And do you know any good website with some kind of free demos to check what's possible before starting buying the complete titles?
Cheers!
I'm lucky. I work four on, four off. So have lots of slob time ☺️
Can't you just get a second job - it's just like real work with smells and 3D effects, more tasks to do than time allows and a stressed out boss that's having an affair with your colleague half his age so you have to pretend to his wife they're "checking the stock" again and everything. I won't ruin the ending totally, but let's just say that when he's finally caught it would have been better not to have been running an umberella shop.
I only gave it 2 stars last time I tried but I didn't realise I was meant to be enjoying it! PEGI 15+
And don't talk about loyalty as if it's real - you'll go where the price is cheapest, which is exactly why Amazon pull the tactics they do to stay the behemoth they are.
Im waiting for resident evil vr compatible. I always thought horror games would be cool on vr.
I refused to pay £50 for one game. But when the games were 24.85 on shopto at xmas, i grabbed 2.
Planned to sell my VR should I not have used it, but it's surpasses my expectations.
I have had a reply and they refused to do anything.. So I have told them that my boycott starts today and I will not be buying any more games...
I am not saying they are wrong.. But this is a matter of customer service and am not happy.
But I bought Werewolves Within a few days ago and am not happy. Anyone ever had any joy getting Sony to refund the difference on a sale price?
I have logged a case and told them I am boycotting buying full price games as its just not fair.. Every other store (i.e Amazon) would price match when an item goes into the sale. But knowing Sonys records, I suspect they will tell me to poke it!

I just bought werewolves and surgeon sim. Have no move controllers so the surgeon may not be useable.
Really, 90 seconds per game including loading up and shutting down.
Robinson is probably the best graphical game at the moment and certainly would play for longer than half hour on it's own, also Keep Talking is a great fun social game, another which you can play for ages.
not all VR games are boring or 5 min tech demos... im happy to have some 2-3 hour experiences! you couldnt wear the headset for hours on end like normal gaming anyway.
ive read the difference is just slightly better image clarity.. also if theyre supported the pro runs games at better framerates ofcourse. and you have downsampling so it renders the image at 2k or 4k then displays it in a 1080p format this improves issues like jaggy edges
Feel as if also you can only play so long before you need to take a break pretty quick also.
Just want a really good game out for it. Got a fair amount but still wouldn't rate them amazing, still good fun though.
anybody playing Multiplayer games feel free to add me PSN: Chelseapaul
I've only ever tried to play werewolves in the evening/night and each time the game has started within minutes of logging in. I've not played with anyone whose abusive in the game i suppose it does happen but you do have the ability to vote someone off if they are annoying the rest of the group. With this price cut i'd say it won't be too difficult to get a game at any time now.
Have also got keep talking, good fun for a while but becomes a bit repetitive too quickly when you've seen the various challenges, worth it for this price for a few hours play. It's Multiplayer only tho
I love it, not as good as arizona sunshine but still excellent.
