Do you have to initially sign up for the free trial before you can get this or can you just get the app and purchase this as a one-off?

You don't need to be a member to get the "Daily Deals" so no need to sign up for the free trial...although worth bearing in mind that you cannot purchase audiobooks through the app (I've no idea why!)...so you need to purchase through the website (just log in with your Amazon account) then you can listen to your audiobook through the app.

I enjoyed this although as others have said Rutger Hauer was just awful as Ash but Laurel Lefkow was so great as Ellen Ripley it more than made up for it - She sounded so much like Sigourney Weaver I was easily immersed into the story.
The rest of the cast were good too.
I'd say it's well worth £3.

It was given away for free by the US Audible a few months ago. It's a great listen, if a little daft in some respects.

Most do. If you leave the screening early and ask for your money back they will usually return it.

I've only done it once but there was no problem. The film was just terrible. And we werent the only ones that walked out. I had a chat with the guy that gave the refund and he said it happens all the time. I've since asked in other venues and found the same policy. However, like I said I've only done it the once.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy for free to review last year. As a die hard Alien fan I thought this was great! The actress who impersonates Sigourney Weaver, IMO, does a great job.

i love dramatisations too,this ones just not for me (some of the explanations for events just seemed a little stretched). im glad to support the franchise though because when it shines for me it really shines.

Agreed. The production on this was top rate. Up there with World War Z for multi cast audiobooks. Highly recommended for this price

I bought this a while ago,its so bad. Heat for finding a low price but it's still a bad purchase imo. Ash is terrible lol.

I bought this a year or so ago...and out of the 50 odd audiobooks I own, this is the only one I've listened to twice - thought it was great. It's not your typical audiobook (where someone is reading the book at you) it's more of an audio drama - the production quality and all background sounds really add to the immersion.
Different strokes for different folks I suppose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you tell Audible that you didn't like a book they'll refund you. Just go to the help section and then choose Return your book and you should receive the refund. It may be too late for to return this one though as you usually have to do it straight after listening to it. Might be worth a try though.
