No Lettuce and Celery in our local on the super 6, subbed in Pears (bag)and grapefruit(single), even though they had normal stock of lettuce and celery in the other isle's. strange........

it never used to be like that. wife and I both noticed it in last few months. originally aldi quality was great. still use aldi for essential items as it's our closest shop but moved fruit purchasers to sainsburys

Agreed, the smaller Tesco "Redmere Farms" 300g packs are 55p and their own Tesco 300g packs are 79p so this is a bargain, stock up on the 19th!

I agree to some extent with these comments about both Aldi and Lidl. In both these stores, the items which are on Offer are not stored correctly. For example, items which need refrigerated like Spinach, Celery are left in the open resulting in these going off quickly.

Aldi has always seemed better and to last much longer than Lidl for me.

No I don't. I have Carrots, Parsnips, Brussel Sprouts and oranges that I bought at Aldi over over 10 days ago and they are still fine.
It's not usally the quality that is the problem but the way the produce is stored at home, that is.
If you wish to pay for the most expensive on the high street for fruit and vegetables from Sainsburys , thats up to you.
Sainsburys stuff is not always that good. Cucumbers from my local store are usually suffering from frostbite because of the way they are stored.

I'm with you all the way.
I think that everything in Aldi has gone down in quality and up in price .
In fact nowadays I very rarely shop at Aldi preferring to go to Lidl (a lot further away) .

After the last 2 weeks intense detox, they are going softer on us now for next 2 weeks.
Beetroot is good for the price if you don't like the pickled jar version.

Only 9 days away. I'll make sure to put it on my calendar.
Alternatively I could just see what they have on offer when I go to get my shopping.
Beetroot is decent. Not sure who eats the salad tomatoes as they just taste of wet.
Opening post
Iceberg lettuce
Radish 250g
Spring Onions Bunch
Celery
Salad Toms 6 pack
Beetroot 500g
Nice
