I agree that Hollister is targetted at kids and students but if you are just getting sweatpants, hoodies and t-shirts it doesn't really matter that much who the target is, as long as it fits it is all good.
I honestly haven't noticed that much of a difference in quality to justify the enormous difference in price but each to their own.

Code still working. Says on the A&F website that today is the last day for it. Not sure why this is expired yet.

I have bought both A+F and Hollister in the past and I find there is absolutely no difference in the quality whatsoever. I tend to buy sweatpants, hoodies, long sleeved t-shirts. They are both the same company and the only difference is one has a little moose on it and the other one has a little seagull.
The other major difference is the price. At the moment you can get up to 50% off the winter syles at Hollister and a further 10% for signing up to the newsletter but the range of clothes in the sale is much better and Hollister is much, much cheaper.
Heat for the deal but it is hollister every time for me.

A&F quality is higher. I have quite a few of both. There isn't much in it, but there is definitely a difference. Not worth the RRP difference, but with 50+20% off, A&F is worth the little bit extra.
Hollister seems to be targeted to teenagers too.. If you're still a kid and need to save up from your part time job, you're probably the target market.

Meh. Code didn't work and then neither did their website when hitting Submit Order button.

I have A&F stuff that's older than my children that still looks excellent. Fit is good (14 stone and in 'not bad for 49' shape). We've just returned a Parka to them bought from the sale that was too small for SWMBO and the £9 to return an item to the Netherlands is reasonable.
I will buy A&F over nearly all brands as it's so well made. We spent around £1000 while in Florida last year and we know that the clothes will outlast any other brands (Hollister has gone really down hill). We're in NYC February and we are making the trip to their Jersey Mills outlet and will spend another small fortune again!

If ever there was a brand in decline it's this one. New collection looks like a washed out car boot sale.

I disagree. The style has become more mature for a lot of clothes.. plus the quality is great and clothes last waaay longer than zara, top man, next etc.

Thats only if you use their service. Nothing wrong with you using your own courier.
Do you know if the fit of A&F stuff matches the fit of Hollister? I know what size I am in the latter but not the former. Thanks

If my memory serves me right i'm pretty sure they use the same sizing. That's why I like buying from both (although it has been a few years since I've ordered from A&F) I know their medium always fits and they do 31" waist on jeans which fit me just right

I'm typically a 30w with other brands (Diesel, All Saints) do I need to order a larger size from A&F do you think?

Since they closed up shop in the UK they ship stuff from Germany now last I saw so returns presumably to there.
Choose very carefully - their sizes are all over the place and all on the extremely snug side

As long as you're not on the large side I find the fit to be fantastic. When I was 16.5 stone I struggled but now at 12.5 I find it's perfect.

Might not like second hand clothes but if not, loads of Abercrombie and Hollister clothes on eBay, which you can get really cheaply.

Code definitely worked for me on 3 sale items, plus there's 9% cash back on TCB, may be rejected but worth a go. Great find, thanks op!

Your prob right mate, I wouldn't know, don't buy many clothes online.
Was just a heads up that you dont need to take that option. I did find £9 for a return very strange.

Fair enough - maybe I am just used to most high street retailers providing free returns and think that that's almost the norm
