Quite a good price for good batteries and if you are close to a store you can just pick them up without needing to wait for a delivery.

My experience of lidl ready to use batteries over the past couple of years is that they tend to fail more readily than Eneloop after a multiple charges. Keep receipt and make use of the three year warranty if you do buy lidl.
I beg to differ, they hold the charge for the longest time, but that's about it... Panasonic Infinium are my choice, BUT this is a good price.

Hey all, for those of you that don't know, don't waste your money on these, only 750mAh means they will run out of juice pretty rapid, especially in digi cams which'll eat them in 5 mins. Anyone who's techy knows AA/AAA rechargeable batteries are only any good with a minimum of 2500mAh. The higher the capacity number, the more charge they can hold and for longer.

You can not buy AAA cells with 2500ma capacity.

If you use rechargeable cells then Enloops are currently (pun intended ) the way to go.
They hold most of their charge for 12 months or so while NiCad and Nmh cells loose about 5% per day.
This offer from Maplins is a good one .
I changed to the Panasonic Enloop Pro brand for all my pro photo gear and they have proven to be the best Ive ever used coupled to the Ansmann range of chargers.

Thanks for posting that, I didn't know Screwfix sold Varta rechargeable batteries and the reviews are all positive. As Screwfix is only a few minutes away I'll be picking some up later. Thanks again.
Edit: Same Varta batteries are £7.79 on Amazon as well!

Can anyone recommend AAA rechargeable batteries for use exclusively in DECT? I got a pack of chinese ones (1800mAh my a*!),and either they are dud (most possibly) or the DECT charging base kills them pretty fast. Or maybe you are not supposed to use batteries over a certain capacity?

What is so special about 750mAh batteries?

Not sure if you're trolling or not.
Nobody said they're special so I would advise you get your reading glasses. I have tried many rechargeable batteries and Eneloops come out top of the pile. I've had several for many years and they live up to their claims of retaining battery power. Lidl's are cheap and cheerful but they don't last that long. 750mh is more than enough for most things we use but if it's not enough there are alternatives. Whatever the reason, if it's not enough then why are you looking at it? It clearly says 750mh in the title of the deal.

You realise these are AAAs? Never match the same capacity as AAs.

Eneloop are the best rechargeable batteries on the market, I use the AA ones in a camera flash - the crappy Energiser standard batteries that have a higher mAh rating just don't cut the mustard.
Never had a problem, fitted them in numerous things (at least six different things).

I'll second that recommendation - been using one with both Eneloops and 18650s for over a year. Only downside is that it emits a slight high pitch noise when charging!

Have never bought Eneloop batteries before, and these look a decent price. just not sure which make/type are best to buy.
But my current Duracell 2450mAH AA rechargable batteries may well be starting to die off. (so says my duracell charger)
What is a good/reasonable combo to buy as replacements?
I assume my current charger wont charge Eneloops by the looks of it, so would need to buy AA,AAA batteries +charger.
*batteries are used for Xbox controler, Bridge Camera(so need higher mAH i assume) amongst other things

How are Eneloops size-wise? I'm fed up of rechargables that are too long or too fat to fit some devices.

GP Recyko are good cheaper alternative for AAA, eneloops or vapextech for AA. There was a mega thread about rechargable batteries on here a year or two back. I think the advice in there still holds true.

I have lots of Eneloops but they're all AA. Have 8 x AAA from Vapextech but they're not very good. Was going to order some Eneloops but might give the Ikea one's a go instead (4 for £4):
I have it and it works well - its fairly simple charger. The more batteries you charge the more slowly it charges them.

I can highly recommend the Ansmann Powerline 4 light. Use it with my eneloops and it's very easy to use. can vary the charging speed based on the current. Can also charge via mains as well as 12v
or get a better charger like the awesome Powerex MH-C9000 WizardOne Charger-Analyzer

I don't know; but it does seem to work well and it's great sometimes to be abel to charge 8 at at time. My other charger is a XTAR VC4 which has more functions (charges 18650's etc) but only holds 4 batteries at a time. It does however tell you how much charge each one has taken so you can weed out dud batteries.
XTAR VC4 is comparable a Nitecore D4.

Lidl also do a range of rechargeable batteries AA AAA packs of 4 C D packs 2 I have been using these for couple of years now, all household items, quite a few torches (too many lol) and loads of toys, never had any problems with them, prefer these to all other brands I have tried.
