I got the 5w, 20w instead of 200w. 3000k
brighter than standard 50w bulbs.
surround is white with frost lid.

3000k relates to colour temperature (I.e. how yellow/white it is. Lumens measure the light output. If the pic is correct, they're a 5w led that's as bright as a 50w halogen. Not bad for a quid.

Have the electrek ses and BC cap lamps fitted at home.
After four months not one failure.
5w cool white are very bright.
Very pleased so far.

Poundland have been doing the Electrek LED range for a while now - it's a good price for a UK supplied unit with comeback vs unknown and unbranded units from elsewhere. At least you can expect some reliability from these.

These are tosh. Fitted them all around the house. Really dim light and each one broke within 3 months. Don't waste your money

The 5w poundland bulbs are being over driven and likely to fail, the 3w is ok.

I have 4 of these in my bathroom for months. No problems at all. Warm white, very bright

Looks like the beam angle on all the bulbs from toolstation is very narrow, except one set. Don't they cast strong shadows?
Don't know about these, can't see an angle printed on the box in the photo.

these are 100 degrees angle.
I seen today also had a gu10 5w with 120 degrees angle, but only seen 1 on display.
these seem to be the newer version.

Light was fine, but we've had about 5 out of 15 fail so far within about 3-6 months. Shame as the light and price is good. Apparently they've done new ones with vents on but we've not tried these yet.

I'm using one of them for over 6 months no problem .

Careful with these Poundland LEDs. I put one in my light fitting and it blew the house's circuit breaker. It also melted the light switch so I couldn't turn it off ever (although that may be because I absentmindedly tried to reset the circuit breaker while the bulb was still screwed-in and turned-on)
I started an online complaint but got bored and gave up

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/5-x-led-5w-gu10-lamps-cool-warm-white-4-99-toolstation-2597745
next time type the word toolstation or gu10 into the hotukdeals search bar. just saying link is very demanding and silly as the deal was posted 3 days prior and takes less than 5 seconds to find.
There are two types of the 5W ones. On the box, you can tell the difference, one says 5W in the yellow box, the others (with the vents) have 360Lumens in the yellow box. The majority I bought had the lumens in the box and not had one issue. Also bought some of the others which haven't gone either. So possibly those saying they had a few blown may have bought the ones without the vents (even though they give off very little heat).
However, we have around 40 of these Poundland ones in our house, most of which are used heavily, and have been brilliant, giving off lots of light. And this is in a house where we know the electrics are a little dodgy - our (rented) house blows the Halogen ones like you wouldn't believe!
