As the title says. At the rate everyone is stripping the store at the moment, there might not be much left if you're in the area.
Only exclusions are beer, fags and lottery.

This needs be expired as they shut a week early on 14/1 because everyone virtually cleared the place out already.

I'll expire then. Not surprised they closed early though - I went there on Thursday and they'd already cordoned off half the shop because there was nothing left.
It's a shame, but then I heard that the owners of the centre want everyone out and want to turn it into apartments.

still a fair amount of stuff there but the shelves are looking more and more barren so i wouldn't be surprised if they're empty by the end of this week

why is this expired ? they don't close until the 21st, unless they've been stripped bare and have shut early

Saturation with "pound shops" reached the limit?

B&M are thriving as a business. They are not far away from a place in the FTSE 100. They are humongous.

Have to let us know if you find an empty store
I can't get there on sunday myself due to no car, but i may well try again on monday if there's still stuff there.

Never went as I thought it would be mayhem, being Saturday and all that. Might try my luck tomorrow.

surprised they don't just pack up the stock in full cases and get it sent to other stores to sell at normal price.

I can only assume they'll have stuff in the stockroom they still have to clear if they're expecting to stay open another two weeks.
If the rate of people that i saw today continued throughout the day, i'd be surprised if they had enough stock left.
This is the thing though - it's supposed to be closing on the 21st of January so they've seemingly got another fortnight.
I honestly can't imagine there's much of anything left though but i might pop back there tomorrow or monday just to have a look.

50% off at B&M must work out around 7p per item on average. Hot.

Tragic! Hope they find a sensible landlord elsewhere! Those poor staff left with no job now!

in this instance, it's apparently rent. the owners of the centre this branch is in have massively hiked the rent and apparently B&M aren't prepared to pay it. The girl on the checkout said they'd literally only been told this morning.

Always struck me as a less than smart move when it first opened in the appalling Bay tree centre seeing as Wilko was already established opposite. I hope it doesn't stay empty for long, would like Aldi/Lidl but may be too expensive for them.

doubt its saturation its usually some other factor , wrong area not enough foot traffic etc

yeah the woman in front of me had a £120 quid odd trolley and quite blatantly told the girl on the checkout she was buying it to sell on.
i got 20 cans of diet coke for £3 quid though so i'm happy
