I suppose another way of looking at it is: a 30-day rolling contract (or ~90-day in case of a 3-month pass), without having to give 30-days notice - as one can cancel right up to & including the day the current pass expires.
Crossbow
15 Mar 17#121
Yes, that's right, as long as you remember to add a pass with ~30 days or fewer to go before the current pass expires.
Yes again, & you'll only get charged on the day after your current pass or offer runs out. So, in the example I gave earlier, payment will be taken on July 1st if you forgot to enter a new pass or forgot to cancel (before July 1st).

15 Mar 17#120
Ah right so instead of cancelling 30 days before it runs out I could add another pass and that way no direct debit or if I forget to add a pass or cancel then they will charge me via direct debit
Crossbow
15 Mar 17#119
Yes, cancel it (or, if you'd like it to continue, apply another cheap pass) ~30 days or fewer to go before the current pass runs out.
Yes, cancellation can be easily done online. Once you apply a pass, the only option that becomes available is 'Cancel'.
You can still apply passes only (but yes, entering payment details are a must as well).
Cheers for info crossbow, so basically 30 days before whatever pass is due to end bang a cancel notice in. Can this be done online or do you have to call them. Wasn't keen of entering bank details as I've been bitten before with company's still taking money when things have been cancelled. Thought it would be possible not to enter anything and just buy passes. Suppose Now Tv prefer bank details entered in case customers forget to cancel
Better get a calendar as my iphone calendar is full of reminders
Crossbow
15 Mar 171#117
Either way, you'll need to enter payment details. This can't be avoided under any circumstances.
The good thing about it is that you can cancel the next (large) payment going out by cancelling the current pass / code when there are fewer than 30 days to go to the end of that pass. It will still let you watch right up to the point when the pass ends.
So, for example, you apply a 3-month pass / code on April 1st, which will run up to & including June 30th. Before the next large payment is taken (which will be £9.99 for Movies in advance for the next payable month - i.e. July), you can/should cancel the pass starting June 2nd onwards. It will let you watch up to & including June 30th with no further payment taken in July. Or, if you would like your subs to continue uninterrupted, with less than 30 days to go to the expiry (so again June 2nd onwards), you can apply another cheap pass / code for July & subsequent months.
To remember the above, I just setup reminders on my Android phone (any inbuilt/free calendar app will do) & also on my PC (I use the free WinAlarm for this).

Thinking of trying one of these Now Tv box things for bedroom, but how do the vouchers, codes etc work.
Read somewhere you get 14 day free trail of certain passes but also read when registering you have to enter bank card or credit card details. I for one don't like sound of that and would prefer to just buy the passes from other retail outlets and do it that way.

They can be connected to the Wi-Fi - a stable & minimum of 2.5mbps is needed, so check your Wi-Fi connection's speed just in case.
If the speed is not good or reliable enough, you should consider a Powerline adapter, which costs ~£15 for a pair - example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KKEZ8NY - you'll just need a free mains socket close to the NTV box, & a short ethernet cable (probably included with the PL-adapters), to connect the PL-adapter to the NTV box.

So i signed up for this deal and also found out its for LG customers only, so I started a chat with them and played the fool and managed to get 1 month free Entertainment pass code from the guy.
So i'm getting 45 days of that, then I canceled it to stop the contract from rolling over and then I got an offer of 1 month free movie pass, so i accepted and again went to cancel it and after that I got offered 4 months of Movies for £4.99 a month, which I've taken.

Ok so I've e just spent 30 minutes on the live chat on this bull tihs offer, like others I signed up thinking £3 for 3 months entertainment package sound pretty good to me. After signing up it looks like you are only actual signing up for an account and not the deal for 3 months for £3 entertainment, during the online chat this is what the first and second person I chatted to said. They then both said to sign up for the 14 day trial, I was like look you advertised the deal so please honour it. They said I'd have to sign up again from the deal link to see if it would work, I said there's no point in doing that as my account is already up and running. Queue 3 chat agent..... explained it all to them again and they said the best they could do was if I logged into my account and activated the 14 day free trial they would give me a code for 2 months entertainment package for free, so rather than 3 months for £3 I'd get 2.5 months for free effectively. Save any more hassle I agreed, activated the 14 day free trial, they generated a voucher code for me to apply and I'm good to go until 9th April. Oh and I stored the chat and the code so it might work for others too, it might also be a unique code that I've applied and won't work for anyone else. Worth a punt folks, here it is NOWKD4KEXRXXXC

I think this is more YouView's issue than NowTV - one of the conditions of them letting the App on their boxes, is that a competing television service isn't allowed, only Movies and Sports.
That's why NowTV don't advertise Entertainment (More specifically the live channels) as an option for YouView http://www.nowtv.com/devices/youview
I think there's also a restriction on the Movies too - some of the studios place a restriction that a movie can only be offered on demand whilst Sky have it in the rotation on the live movie channels - because YouView don't allow the live movie channels either, you can't get those movies on demand.

25 Jan 17#46
I think most people use the Now TV app on their TVs or separate Now TV boxes to access the service (forgive me if I've misunderstood your usage).
I don't think they're competing well with Netflix, thus having to make up these offers to attract people to sign-up - possibly with the hope that they don't cancel before the offer expires, thus having to automatically pay full price from month 4 onwards (for 3-month discount deals). But, as you can see by the popularity of these deals, it works for many people (me included) as I've only ever paid the full price once (to get cashback).
sikiliza69
25 Jan 17#45
Did something similar and all i had to do was contact them via chat, very convenient plus they have to try and resolve your problem cause you'll rate them in the end which i think is brilliant  . Another advantage of chat is you can also save the conversation for reference later, just in case the reimbursement doesn't go through the first time it's actioned.
Hope that helps

The NOW TV interface is absolutely shocking. Who did Sky hire to design it? Hilariously, when you sign up, there is no link sent in an email anywhere that takes you to NOW TV's service so you can start enjoying it. You have to GOOGLE 'Now TV' and then log-in, navigate 3-4 confusing screens asking if you want to subscribe even though you are already subscribed and logged in, before you manage to get to the page you need to. Then, the search function is godawful too. Doesn't activate sometimes when you press enter. Absolutel madness from Sky if they think they are going to compete with Netflix like this.

I have a Talktalk (don't laugh) account, and can watch NOWTV MOVIES via TT, on my tv, via an App on the TT box, but nothing else from Now tv, I believe.
Does your VM box have any Apps, or do they just Play/record TV/Music?
If I wanna watch OTHER "Now tv" content (passes...Sports pass, Entertainment pass etc) I can do it on my Laptop and/or Computer BUT I will view it via a 42" TV, as both are connected to it, and it's simple to do.
I believe you can also get a Now tv box, or a dongle type thingy?...I'm not sure, I'm still into SCART leads.
Yer know, you can ALSO "flick" content from a "Tablet" onto a TV screen, with modern TV's now...think about it. Get a "Now tv" Entertainment pass, access it on your Tablet, and "flick" it onto yer TV...

Yes again, & you'll only get charged on the day after your current pass or offer runs out. So, in the example I gave earlier, payment will be taken on July 1st if you forgot to enter a new pass or forgot to cancel (before July 1st).
Yes, cancellation can be easily done online. Once you apply a pass, the only option that becomes available is 'Cancel'.
You can still apply passes only (but yes, entering payment details are a must as well).
There's an app available as well for phones & tablets (but they can't be used to make important account changes):
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/now-tv-movies-tv-shows-sky-sports-no-contract/id512266300
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bskyb.nowtv.beta&hl=en_GB
Better get a calendar as my iphone calendar is full of reminders
Read somewhere you get 14 day free trail of certain passes but also read when registering you have to enter bank card or credit card details. I for one don't like sound of that and would prefer to just buy the passes from other retail outlets and do it that way.
Thank you OP.
Can I use Now TV app on ipad and Chromecast onto my TV, like Netflix?
Thank you.

18+. UK only. Offer for new NOW TV customers only, who take offer through LG. First payment of £1 for 3 months, after offer period NOW TV Entertainment Month Pass automatically renews at £6.99 unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time. You must redeem by 7 February 2017, code thereafter is void. See full terms at nowtv.com.
ONLY VALID TO NEW LG TV OWNERS
I've just found out there is also no way to delete your NowTV account. They keep it active, holding your card details under their "data retention policy". Fantastic if they get hacked.
It doesn't work, used the link and all it offers is a 14 day free trial
When I posted the offer it showed a page with the £1 a month details,so the weight of HUKD seemed to have stopped the offer.
Time to expire,methinks.
As the original poster said, you had to go to your account and then cancel each subscription.
A right faff. Plus live chat is a PITA as they seem to
Disappear for 10 mins every time they say something
Welcome.
Thanks in advance.
I thought the same had happened as the "voucher code" details have disappeared, but when you click on the little 'arrow' to show more details, it still says next payment due 23rd Feb.
There is also a Now TV app, which is much better (but very limited search) compared to browsing their site using a regular web-browser [this app can also be used to 'cast' the film to your compatible TV (or via a Chromecast) if you don't have a Now TV app or box]:
For Android devices: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bskyb.nowtv.beta&hl=en_GB
For Apple devices: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/now-tv-movies-tv-shows-sky/id512266300
Hope that helps
No clue how these things work,
Does your VM box have any Apps, or do they just Play/record TV/Music?
:-)
http://www.artesea.co.uk/nowtv/
it connects to sky's servers so always seems to be up to date
Good Luck
But when I gave the MOVIE pass a shot, I could watch it via Talktalk...how odd.
