Thanks to BargainMad for this one. Posted in a previous post but wanted to share with others.
Compact and with various connections, this has reviewers claiming it can jump a 2.8 diesel. So should be man enough for most cars.

Maybe Aukey don't pay HUKD for the referral

Agree totally with this, I've given up posting recently as the overzealous mods seem to pull deals for the fun of it these days...shame really. It certainly feels like there's some kind of "pay and display" type promotion going on in the background with certain so called deals.

The mods believe Aukey self promote ... go figure! Deal was fulfilled by Amazon, with a market place supplier and the mods deny the opportunity for HUKDers to benefit. I must have missed something along the way since I joined in 2007 or maybe pragmatism is a dirty word nowadays. Ah well .. Happy New Year!!

Especially when hukd allow self promotion with some companies, maybe they pay commission?

All Aukey products are banned. Shame because I've posted some real bargains in the past, and they always get pulled :disappointed:

BarginMad has just had this deal pulled. The mods believe Aukey self promote which maybe they do but this deal was being promoted by a member since 2007. It seems like a good deal for the benefit of all members so why cant they just let it be. Worth a go Boyee.

tbh if it's genuinely a good deal can't see the problem of self promoting. Must be issues with the referral then.

Quote "HotUKDeals.com was founded in August 2004 as a place for consumers to freely share deal tips, voucher codes and other consumer information. The purpose of the site is to escape from the marketing messages and ads that surround us and get genuine advice from other people about hot deals. " It would seem that in 2017 this no longer holds true.
Thanks for "carrying the torch" Boyee.

I really need one of these for a 3.6.. that or a new battery, constantly have the thing on charge :disappointed:
OT but this post reminds me, I was a long time lurker, signed up to post a deal a couple of years back and was instantly banned for "self promotion" when I blatantly had nothing to do with the product (dog blankets etc).

VDisillusioned
17 Jan 171#38
It hasn't been true since at least 2008 which is when my newest username was registered. It's VDisillusioned because I had previously abandoned the site, which I had been registered on since 2004, because it was obvious the quoted ethos of the site was BS and certain retailers were clearly being promoted and deals from rival companies were being deleted. (That and it was obvious certain mods were not deleting racist comments whilst deleting the comments of people flaming them for it - fortunately that seems to have disappeared) When I came back, a few months later, the same old manipulation was going on, hence my user name. I guess it still does, though perhaps not as clumsily as back then.
It's not that I mind it being done so much, but I really don't like HUKD pretending to be a "community site" run purely for the benefit of it's users when in reality it is hard nosed commercial banging out money for the owners.
That said Aukey do seem to be masters of review manipulation and self-promotion - how many of their Amazon reviews are actually from "verified purchases"?

I used one of these for the first time yesterday, bought one 3 months back for my Mazda as the battery kept dyingm however ended up getting a battery anyway.
Still, used it on my mother's Nissan Micra yesterday and was great.
Attach wires, turn over engine for 5 or so second and it started. Granted that's a 1.2, I'd be very skeptical using it on a 5l...

dubious to the quality of these to whether they can be relied on for car starting. As someone mentioned before, a lot of the reviews on there do look suspicious, eg P.Mason where the majority all of his reviews are of aukey products
