Still cannot understand who would be *SO INTELLIGENT* to pay £1,500.00 for it?

Not to P on anyones parade, but this is "beautiful oak veneer" not actual oak. Still a HOT deal, but don't be mislead.

features a beautiful oak veneer top and round metal handles.
To be honest, similar colour/pattern furniture sold at places like oakfurnitureland has oak top only as well.
apparently, they could couldn't paint oak white.

Hot.
It's not a £1,500 wardrobe but they were selling it for £899 recently in Homebase so this is a good deal. I've ordered one as we were looking for something around this budget recently.
It's only £6.95 delivery so it will definitely be a flat-pack but these things are usually pretty easy to put together.

£1500! Haha, give me a break, for £1500 id rather go to my local timber merchant, get them to cut solid wood fittings and doors with delivery and do it myself!
its a bit daft they show 360 photos but none with the doors open.

It's pretty huge and time-consuming to put together but it's a solid piece of furniture.
It came in 3 pretty big boxes which the delivery guys had trouble carrying in. Apparently the two guys weren't insured to carry something this heavy so I had to do the bulk of lifting this upstairs on my back with a bit of help from my wife.
As with something this high it's always recommended to secure it to the wall.

Yep, I was looking for a new wardrobe and came across this thread. I'm very happy with the purchase. The instructions have Homebase branding on them and my wife thinks we should get another one for our spare room.
Thanks for taking the time to take and post pictures, really helped.

Glad I could be of assistance, lol. I have a family friend who owns a huge very successful furniture store so he knocks prices off so I ummed and arghed whether to purchase this or go through him. Finally made the decision to purchase this, after I put the link up, and it's now sold out lol. At least I'm contributed to the community somewhat as I have saved a lot using hukd over the years and gave something back. Someone, somewhere, in my local area has benefitted from this deal and I missed out. Oh well, enjoy your purchase.
Also on a side note I talked to Argos webchat and apparently they are "awaiting orders to get this back in stock" nationally , advised me to keep checking the website. So if it's out of stock in your local area now keep checking as it may come back in stock. Cheers. Tim

thank you for your honest opinion on the wardrobe. Out of interest how white is it and is the top actually only veneer? I have one on order due for delivery on 5th February but umming and arring whether we want this, as we can't get the matching tallboy. (if I cancel I will let you know)

At around 2m tall it really is very big.
BTW it's still listed on the Homebase website at £1499.00 and again at £686.93: http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/shopping/schreiber-white-natural-furniture
