been looking a GPS watch for a while to help me with running - nothing fancy or expensive
anyone any reviews or personal experience of this?
I see its a refurbished product as well which I normally stay away from but if it does what I need it to for the price im tempted to jump

My son has the TomTom Multi Sport Cardio GPS Watch, and it is quite impressive for the price. It tracks location quickly, has quite a few functions for training and monitoring performance, and integrates well with Strava so he can look back at his sessions and track his distance/altitude/heart rate etc. I am sure that there are more complex alternatives available from Garmin and others, but this does the job and was well priced.
He bought a refurb off Amazon, and for all intents and purposes it looked brand new (untouched packaging, screen protector, and so on).

Yes bought as a bundle for my son with cadence sensor and hrm. He sold it straight away. In my opinion the sony smartwatch 3 is better, the gps probably isnt as accurate but it has music and it can be used for swimming too. It also has all the smartwatch features so if it gets androidwear 2 with have payments too. I already use it with smartcard. It also has all the fitness band like functionality via google fit.

Good deal. What is this TomTom watch like as a smart watch? text and call notifications etc?
thank you

It's not a smart watch so no text or call notifications. It's a great value GPS watch for runners / cycling, but not something to wear all day every day.

Had the TomTom runner for over a year. A great item. Locks onto a satellite within minutes ( out the sticks). The app is good and Bluetooth syncing works well. Highly recommended.

I got a Sony Smartwatch 3 for Christmas, the main use being used for tracking runs. I nearly went for the TomTom but went for the Sony instead. So far I'm impressed with it, does all that I need and for me the GPS is pretty spot on (recent update my of improved this). Pairs fine with my bluetooth headphones and Endomomdo app. Could be more of a bargain if android wear 2 comes to this.
