Pre-ordered - thanks OP.
Zelda for me, this for the kids who will be all over it. Showed them the promo vids and they were in stitches. Snipperclips got a big thumbs up from them too.

Unless you are 5 years old you will not be wanting to go back to the majority of these mini games, the samurai sword and milking a cow games being particularly awful. Nintendoland was great, even Wii Sports for its day was far better.....these should have at best been bundled with the console, and even for free do not expect longevity from such limited novelty joycon tech demos.

It's great to see they're compensating for the lack of processing power, by taking more pixels off of the screen. 'WE BRING THE GAMES TO LIFE. WHO NEEDS PROGRAMMING? WE JUST HAVE TO FEATURE MARIO AND MILLIONS OF FANS WILL JERK OFF IN THEIR DROVES'

I'd suggest waiting for game reviews, playability wins over graphics for me as a the current crop of xb1 PS4 games look great but not many are awesomely playable. I'd just like great games (forgetting how pretty it looks) on any of the current platforms

Good price but this is one game I'll pass on launch. Might pick it up later if reviews are good.
Hoping to see some good prices on Zelda and Bomberman in the coming weeks.

Given that there hasn't been a game released in the last three months that hasn't plummeted within a month of release i'd say that's a fair bet...

Honestly... I thought the Wii U is dead stuff from XB/PS gamers was bad, this Switch is just bringing out the worst of them now. I wouldn't waste your time haritori apparently a non mainstream console and something different on the market is not acceptable.
I am trying to be reasonable and look for the merit in this thinking of there should be no choice, and all our kids need to be growing up and playing COD on a XB/PS and now. I will keep looking and considering this viewpoint )

Wii was one of the best selling consoles ever.. and teh DS & 3DS were massively popular, so that leaves only the Wii U it still made Nintendo Profit on each one sold, Im not defending Nintendo here, the console is good IMO there is a lot of tech in there, haptic feedback, X1? maybe but.. its overpriced and lacking software.. If nintendo can reduce the price quickly and get a good lineup of 1st party adn 3rd party software they will be laughing, i expect nintendo is again making profit on each one sold.
Also the issue of storage people keep mentioning will only be an issue for people who buy digital.. the carts themselves will hold all the data, so the onbaord 32GB will mostly be for saves and DLC, and that can be expanded by 2TB Nintendo have confirmed.

how boring would it be if Nintendo produced another PS4 or XBOX clone. I'm glad they are being different. I think this will be a success purely on the fact it's seems like it will be the greatest handheld console ever to exist. Doesn't mean I'll be selling my PS4 anytime soon but I'm definitely tempted to pick one of these up

Because the 170 million 3DS' and Wii's sold proved that. Right.

How does the consumer benefit from spending nearly 300 quid on an underpowered machine that sits far too awkwardly between two stools? Even the games industry is distinctly noneplussed, which is never a good thing with a new console. As practically every Nintendo machine since the GameCube has proved.

There is no need to get personal, its just an electronic consumer device at the end of the day, if buy it or not, like it or not, it doesn't change anything.
Cant we all just agree that competition is a healthy thing and benefits the consumer. the more products available the better.

I really enjoyed Nintendoland, and could get on board with Wii Sports, but this looks really bad (in my opinion). Shame because I quite l like the concept of the Switch. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Think gameplay alone gives you a idea whether you will like it or not. Let alone you may dislike the type of game. Example Barbie on the PS..... I know I'll hate it. Have to agree this game looks terrible and certainly no wii sports.
